A fish- A carnivorous fish. Almost completely invisible and very hard to spot at first due to colouration. Designed to lay in wait on the riverbed, lake beds and mudflats. it uses its tendrils to draw in smaller fish, then strikes at them. I didnt see many but they varied in size, some up to 30cm, others up to three feet. Witnessed several being caught/hunted by Maraegian, which not even their spines or back plates could protect them from.
I like that it's a very visually interesting creatures, and I also like how you wrote the description from the point of view of the explorer! can't wait to see the final result
