After 30 years in graphic arts/design/communications and publishing, one tends to forget what its like to be in the trenches. Aye, its been 30 years - and I've watched the industry change so much, it is far from what I remember. I began with cut & paste galleys and laser printed ads spliced into a layout - now just about everything is done via computers. My fave part of everything, creating pixel images. I was doing pixel art back on the Commodore64! Yeah, I'm old...

A note about my pixels
Every image is painted, pixel-by-pixel, using various techniques in GIMP. I may use source images, but I still draw the lines, dab the dots, pick the paints, and tweak the filters myself. If I use any source, it is always found in the Creative Commons and royalty free. If I source a copyrighted image, most times I own the rights to manipulate/reproduce (with all the image libraries I possess - I never run out of material). All source copyrights will be cited.

Magistream Sprite Use
Sometimes a MS-sprite just says, "Hey, Zoa, play wid me!" Who am I to say no?
I do not claim to be the originator of these sprites, and all credit is due to the awesome Magistream Team, particularly the artists. Thank you all for the inspiration!

Simply put, do not claim my pixels as your own. You can use them, display them, show them off - but do not claim to have made the images yourself. All I ask is if you decide to share one of my creations, just give me a shout-out in this thread. Easy. If you really feel the need to give me credit, by all means, I won't stop you.

About Commissions
I do pixel art for fun. No, I won't do commissions - that ruins the fun. If you want me to create something, you can request it in this thread, but I won't promise to jump on it right away (or ever really). I do these on a whim and as my tastes dictate. IF I'm going to make something requested, I will post it when I'm done - not before; nor will I announce that I'm making a request.

All pixels posted here are free to use - ALWAYS
Once I post something I've created here in this thread, it will always be here. I host my images at imgur.com - and will never take them down so there is no need to host them on your own. Each pixel-pic I post will have a
