Of course I was trying to log in to Pokemon Go when the servers weren't up. Maybe that's why it didn't accept what I thought was my Trainer Club password...
I think it really depends on just pure luck. Because my fiance is sitting right next to me and he is currently on Poke-Go, using it. While I'm sitting here upset because I get the "Our serves are experiencing issues. Please come back later." message.
EDIT - Managed to get on somehow. Have no idea how though.
