Apparently my sister's family is playing (but not my sister, so she claims, yet she gathered over 100 poke balls herself today.) and I'm apparently the one that has the knowledge, since Sister won't go to her husband. (Long story, but basically she doesn't trust his knowledge. PM me if you want to know how)

I don't know much. I probably need some basics, beyond how to catch. One of the many, what does the coloured rings around the Pokemon... I saw Yellow today. My sister saw Orange. I mostly see Green. What does the party (ones with squire bits falling about it) stops do? I only receive just a bit more than normal stops.

I found IGN (no clue what htat means) that has some information. You think that'll help?

It's Novice leading the Novice....

That's the best I could find, if you want a text guide IGN is probably your best bet.

The colored rings around pokemon are like a difficulty meter, green is easy, yellow is medium, orange is hard, the higher the difficulty, the more likely they'll break free of a pokeball and run away :3

The pokestops with petals floating around them (I assume that's what you're referring to?) has had a lure used on it, it's like an incense (so it attracts wild pokemon) but it benefits everyone, not just the person who used it :3

Since I'm not allowing myself to buy any new games right now, and GO is getting me excited for Sun and Moon, I decided to go back and play some Alpha Sapphire. Totally didn't remember that there's the "Delta episode" after the game, so I got a nice surprise starting it up today since that's where I stopped!

Couple questions someone might be able to help me with:

I was just thinking about getting PokeBank so I can restart X without feeling like I'm losing things--is it worth it? I read the FAQ and saw that if you end up getting a new 3DS system, you won't be able to use it on there because you'll have a different ID--is that also true of download games like Yellow?

You can transfer data from your old machine to the new one this include your eshop profile. The games you have downloaded tho won't transfer so you'll have to download all the games again but you won't have to pay since your eshop profile moved to the new machine.

When I bought a N3DS I transferred the data from my 3DS to my N3DS. Things like photos, drawings and save data from downloaded games saved on the SD card won't transfer but many other things will so what you lose is minimal. I suggest you Google transfer methods before buying just to be safe. When I moved machine I had to re-download PokéBank but i didn't lose any of my pokémon in the bank because my eshop profile moved to the new one.

And yes Pokebank is worth it if you wanna keep old mons safe while restarting a game or is breeding.
