Thanks! The bird acrylic is one of my favorites as well that I've done.

My camera isn't anything fancy. I paid about $100 for it at Wal-Mart. It's a GE X400 14.1 Megapixel Digital Camera. A fairly basic digital camera; I can't change the lenses on it or anything, and it can be a bit temperamental, but every so often, I manage to take some decent pictures with it. ^.^

I admit I am hoping to get a DSLR camera one of these days. Macro shots are my favorite pictures to try and take, and it's not so easy with the camera I have currently.

Oooh, I'm surprised! Considering the quality of your shots, I would've at least expected like an older DSLR model. You've just got a really good eye for photos I guess. :P I'd love to see some DSLR shots if you ever get one. :) Macros are really nice, but just make sure you do some quick research and actually get a macro and not one that is just labelled one (like me, derp...). It definitely makes a difference! Have you tried ebay maybe? I got a like-new lens for $85, normally priced at about $350. Not a camera, but I bet you can get something that's still good, yet much cheaper. Even an older model like D3000, the one I have, is about $150 on ebay (it was like $800 when I bought it new).

Aww, thank you. ^_^ I am glad you like my photos. Yeah, I plan to thoroughly research into whatever DSLR camera I plan to get before actually buying it. Right now I don't have any extra money set aside to buy another camera, new or used, but my mom and I do have a second house that we hope to sell next year (right now it's rented to a friend of the family, but he is thinking about buying it), and I'm hoping that when it sells my mom will let me pick out a new camera. <3

That's awesome! Good luck selling the house. :) I think it's probably a good thing, in terms of photography. I know a lot of people (won't lie, including myself) think that having a better camera means better photography (which is partly true, but definitely not a large part). At least this way you'll have good practice for the more important things like composition. :P

Been a long while. Been doing a lot of tinkering as I got super spoiled for my birthday last month: the Paint Tool Sai program and a graphics tablet monitor. The tablet is amazing. Sooooo much easier than a computer mouse and line tool!

I actually recall someone online saying that drawing with a computer mouse is like drawing with a rock, in comparison to a tablet.

Here's my first full piece I've done in Sai:

Yes, it's an upside down owl. The piece is titled: 'Dare to be Different.'
