Tenera Dog x Svetku Lynx = Ekaimn Cat

General:
As the offspring of a svetku lynx and tenera dog, ekaimn cats inherit some of both parents' characteristics. Like their lynx parents, these cats are able to influence the moods of surrounding people, putting them in a festive mood. Around them people seem more cheerful, and often find their hands gravitating towards the cats' heads. However, they also have inherited the invaluable ability to sense malevolence, and will not hesitate to hiss and scratch at unwelcome visitors with ill intent to chase them off. These traits make them a favoured pet for traders and magi who entertain guests often. Having at least one in your house is believed to bring good luck, with the added benefit of keeping the mice population down, making them popular with many. These cats are also rather clean, and do not shed much making them great companions for people with allergies.

Egg:
This white egg has a bell attached to its front.

Hatchling:
A white cat with yellow and red markings has hatched from the egg. The bell which tinkles as it moves can be heard from some distance away. There does not seem to be any way to remove it. The hatchling tends to pace in doorways, often leading to incidents where owners trip over them. It is impossible to stay mad for long, though, as the cats are able to win anyone over almost instantly. These kittens will readily approach strangers, to the point where a small swarm may bowl over unsuspecting people.

Adult:
Fully grown ekaimn cats are not much larger than the hatchlings, although the detailedness of their markings seems only to increase exponentially, with the patterns now covering a lot more of their fur. They are less active, instead preferring to wait near doors and ambush passers-by to request head rubs, who usually oblige. Their joy is contagious, and can bring a smile to anyone's face.

If you can't tell, the name is an anagram of "maneki". Maneki-nekos are a type of Japanese figurine in the shape of a cat waving its paw.
