Spoiler
This egg is hotter than lava. Small cracks are also visible on its dark shiny shell.
Hatchling: This little hatchling seems to be drawn to really warm areas especially areas with fire. The hatchling seems to like to eat burning coal whenever meat is not available even if doesn't seem to like it too much. Whenever it gets hungry the flames on its wings seem to get dimmer while its violent temperament gets worse...
Its wings are too weak to carry their body but it doesn't prevent them from trying to glide in the air or copy gryphons and their way to learn to fly.
Gryphound hatchlings are usually dark and have fire only on their wings. Part of their coat becomes lighter the older they get older.
Taking good care of Gryphounds at this stage is critical for creating a bond between this creature and the magi. If the bond is not established at this stage it may cause this creature to abandon their magi and find an own place to live.
Adult: Hellfire Gryphound is a spawn from hell itself. Just like hellhound this creature is hard to tame even if their side from gryphons seem to make it possible to make them intro trusty companions as far the magi is caring and loving. Adult Gryphounds - as far they have been taken well care of under their young years - have the potential to become loyal and trustworthy companions. By now their coat has gained some color at the tips of their wings and hound-part of their body, while the bird-side stays dark. The fire they emit are hot enough to be harmful for the vegetation growing around it; this creature should NOT be kept as house pets! The best place to raise this creature is the desert where they can't burn your house down or damage someone else's property.
Gryphounds eat meat and hunt during the day whenever its not raining. To keep their flames strong and make them grow they eat huge amounts of fire. Fire gryphons seem to be their favorite meal while ice gryphons are being avoided; if the magi have any fire gryphons in their keep they are advised to keep their Gryphounds in their own locked area away from their fiery relatives.
If the flames on their body die out - either from sickness or caused by someone's magic- this creature will get weaker and weaker until they die. Fire is their source of magical power but also the source of their strength and life; the greater the flames are the greater their power are, and the greater flames the longer they will live.
