Wolves or Gryphons?

There once was a DS game named Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords.
This game is essentially Bejeweled meets a turn-based RPG, where you match gems to gather mana and deal damage.
In this game, you have the option to use mounts, which lend you one spell each that can affect the played board. Of the numerous mounts, gryphons and wolves are both options. Gryphons have a spell called "Death Dive", which deals damage based on however many yellow gems are on the board. When used in combination with a Druid's various spells that convert other colored gems into yellow gems, this attack can prove quite deadly.
Moreover, gryphons can fly, which means that you are able to fly over enemies in the overworld. Typically, there is no way around an enemy, so being able to skip unwanted battles is understandably convenient.
Oh, also they look cool on MagiStream and I'm drawing one with characteristics inspired by the ones on here.

Hence, gryphons are clearly superior.

I' gonna go with wolves, and I am not really sure why... I know what a gryphon is, I just never really fancied them all that much.

Anything fantasy will always rule out the real world for me so I have to say gryphons, they're just so cool and plus I love Birds and anything bird related, could you imagine the size of gryphon feathers! Mmm it would just be so cool to be able to see one in real life.

Wolves~ They were my first favorite animal, though I'm more particular to panthers nowadays!

Also, my opinion of Gryphons MAY be slightly influenced by the hundreds of hours I've put into playing Dragon's Dogma, and its subsequent Gryphon battles.
