Welcome to the Bellows
Eventually, I'll replace this with a fancy graphic
Example of the base until I make something fancy to put here!
Come, approach the Bellows of Souls. It is only here that you will find the Pyrehound. While at first, they may seem frightful, they're far from dangerous to most. Coming from the afterlife they take the form of great firey hounds the size of a draft horse. Always their heads are that of a skull with the mouth glowing with the inner flame of the beast. While they are often solid and corporeal only the strongest are fully so. It's far more common to see the beasts with tails that are almost transparent that flicker and glimmer like living flames.
:Lore:
When a person comes seeking comfort when one is down, if they come to the forge, they will find a Hound waiting for them. They are said to be ancient souls who want nothing more than to aid the living but can't return to the world for one reason or another.
Once a Pyre Hound has bound itself to someone they stick at their side until the end, following them even in death and returning as the pet or even friend of the person whom they guarded.
The color of the inner flame that emanates from the mouth of the Hound is said to represent the power the Hound is versed in. There are many classes of magic, elements and other things they can be proficient with and so there are many colors and even combinations of colors that they can have.
:Traits:
Once I have the templates for these done I'll link them so images are available for reference
Common: Canine Skull / No mane / Standard Mane

Summoning a Hound
Summoning a hound is actually far more complex than it may seem. Often times they're summoned by an intense feeling or a ritual performed by the person intending on calling forth one of the beasts. Rarely are the Hounds found there waiting, but it isn't unheard of.
:How to summon a hound:
*Step forward and place a folded piece of paper into the forge containing the following:
Attunement: ( A word, a link with an image or song or something else to base itself off of )
Offering: ( Payment offered aka the budget you're working with )
Reasoning: ( What the hound is being summoned for, a task, companionship ect. )
Alternatively, you're welcomed to place an offering in the plate above the forge held by the great beast said to preside over the creation of the hounds. This is for those who want to be directly in control of what their companion looks like. This is a far more expensive route to getting a hound, but far more direct and precise in the outcome.
**To summon from the Guardian place your offering in the dish held over the forge with the following on a piece of paper:
Skull:
Horns:
Body:
Mane:
Tail:
Others: ( Edits that would be unique to your Hound )
* This way is indirect and more of a prompt for a random design based around the vibe I get from the linked material.
** This is a commission, you get say over any and all detail down to the rarity of the traits, colors and even new traits uniquely drawn onto your hound be they existing or if you only want custom lineart.

Re: The Bellows of Souls - Pyre hounds
:Pre-Made Designs:
These hounds are standing beside the Forge waiting to be offered a home with a new companion. Will one of them be brought home with you?
None ATM
:Combining hounds:
Once in a great while the forge will allow for two hounds to be thrown into the forge to bind them together into a pair of re-forged designs taking into account both of their previous bodies and elemental powers. They make for far more powerful companions after a successful binding.
Currently, the Forge is not ready to combine hounds
