You almost passed the shop, seemingly tucked into an alleyway between the businesses beside it. The stained glass door is illuminated by candles from inside, and you feel an almost chaotic magic emanating from within.

You shrug and open the heavy door. Though there are candles, they don't seem to light up the place much. The first thing you notice is a giant statue of a gryphon proudly clawing its way forward, each one of his claws a different color, some of them with piles of gemstones on them.
Behind the gryphon is a vacant greeting desk, holding a card holder with no cards and a half-eaten snack. You step further inside and turn to your right, beholding a multi-tier table draped with different shades of purple fabric. The top two tiers are crowded with jars, each one full of a different color of scales. The third tier down has jars with lids on them, and upon opening one, you jump a little.

"Careful," you hear as somebody rounds the corner. It is me. I have arrived. "Not about breaking them, necessarily--ice phoenix talons are scaaaary sharp. But feel free to look around for a second! All materials are cruelty-free, meaning they fell off the animal naturally from shedding."

Well that's nice to hear. You resume your perusing, looking at your plain little Magi nails. Perhaps you could give your simurgh's better ear scratches with a set of talons.

"I accept payment in the form of gold, service trade, or some leafy greens, if you know what I mean." I wink. A farir lands on my shoulder. I point to him. "Farirs is what I mean."

MENU

Nail Materials:
SCALES
Scales are the most intuitive material for what I do here. The ending shape is usually rounded, but I can square it off for you. These are simple and lightweight nails, perfect for the practical Magi. My personal preference is koi scales, if you're looking for a recommendation. If you don't see one you like here, I might have some in the back! Just ask.

TALONS
Though they take less shaping, tallons can be finicky. I recommend these only for Magi whom can strike fear into men's hearts with a glance, or wish to. Depending on which type of tallon you pick, these nails can be ridiculously long and are always weighty. Perfect if you like to make an impression. Just...be careful. They're sharp. Not flashy enough for you? Add some color, glitter, or holo lacquer.

EGGSHELLS
As far as nail materials, consider this the budget option. Eggshells are durable enough in small pieces, but they tend to break unevenly, either during application or during your daily activities. You can pick the eggshell of any animal you want. Another use for eggshells is that I can use bits of them for nail decals, if you didn't want to spring for crystal rhinestones.

I often venture to the Caves of Nareau because I'm like obsessed with sparkly things. These days, I'll often take a little pouch with me for smaller chips of crystal, which are perfect for embellishing nails. Just pick your color(s) and tell me which nails you want them on!

These are based, respectively, on the form examples. Your art won't be as rushed. The dragon koi nails (1) depict a glitter nail (index) and a holographic nail (middle) though they weren't specified in the example form. This is just to give you an idea.

Please note:
*This shop is brand new and I may raise the prices to feel more fairly compensated. If you order before/during a price change I'll give you the lower price.
*I'm not an actual nail tech or a career artist, so let that calibrate your expectations a little.
*All hand and nail drawings will be drawn by myself unless and until I hire an apprentice. I won't be using a template, so each hand will be truly unique.

*I can't imagine why anyone would want to steal my art, but please don't be a deck. You can do whatever you want with your final piece as long as you're not trying to pass off my art as your own.
*You can be as specific and creative as you want, either in the form or when I DM you. The point of this is for me to have fun drawing Magistream-inspired nails so if you have a really creative idea, I'd love to hear it and try to execute it.
*In the same vein, if you don't see a scale/talon you want, just ask.

*I will confirm your order via DM with any extra questions/pricing adjustments necessary. You then have the option to receive your nail art privately or publicly. Once I get a message response, I will add you to my bookings.

I walk into a shop I know had not ben there before. With looking around at all the décor and knick knacks, I turn around and peek back outside. I am indeed right. There is a sign I missed reading 'Witchy Hands Nail Salon'. Excited as my nails are dull and have not received any attention for ages, I quickly turn around and bump onto someone with a small, green leaf on their shoulder.

"Oh! Sorry! Urm... I'm just excited to get my nails done" I smile. They laugh, still with the green leaf on their should undisturbed by the newcomer, and hands me a form. Taking it I hesitantly say "I will fill it out the best I can, but I never really know what I want! Maybe I could just leave a few things for you to decide... if that's okay. I will be overjoyed with anything!)

(On a real note, in RL I legit brought a piece of fabric from my prom dress and a picture, and told my manicurist and hair dresser to do what ever they thought would look good I had no idea what I wanted!)

My eyes twinkle as you describe your wishes, letting me take my pick of the eggshell colors. "I know exactly what to do."

You follow me to a comfy chair and table where I let you soak your hands in some warm rosewater. I dance a little while I pick out the colors. "I'm gonna do holographic coating on the koi scale, but the rest are pretty enough they don't need it. Annnd...these nice purple gems look just your shade."

I return to the table with my materials set out, giving your hands a brief massage. Moments later, your nails are finished.
