Setting: the world of Flight Rising. (another forum game.)
Chars: Santiegra (male, nocturne), Laviern (female, nocturne)
Adventure
The hatchling sat infront of the cave, watching the sunrise. Even though his mother had told him a billion times to not do that, he did it anyways. Something about the sunrise had always intrigued him. As a nocturne, it was in his nature to dislike the daytime. However, he'd sometimes see other dragons fly by, with nocturnes of all ages following them, hunting or playing together in the daylight.

Whenever he asked his mother about those strange nocturne's habits her face would immediately become like stone, as if she was a sculpture the Earthshaker made. This could be possible, except for the fact that the Shadowbinder created them. Santiegra's mother would then tell him about those nocturne's, about how they were failures and mistakes that the Shadowbinder abandoned.

Santiegra sighed, staring at the now brightening sun. He really wanted to explore to the world outside of his clan's den, yet he couldn't. Another group flew past the den. It had fae, imperials, a few young banescales, and even a nocturne. They seemed to be playing happily.

But then the nocturne stopped, looking in Santiegra's direction. The other dragons waited for them, but after a while the left. Maybe they wern't such good friends after all... he thought to himself sadly. He snapped out of his thoughts quickly as a huge shadow loomed over him and he looked up, only to see the nocturne from earlier.

"W-who are you?" was all he managed to get out.
"I'm Laviern. You can just call me Lavi," the female nocturne said. "It's good to be at my old home. Say kid, you look old enough to travel."
"Uhm....ok?"
"And I'm just guessing, but do your parents keep tellin you to not stay outside after the sun rises?"
"Thats exactly what they say!"

Lavi grinned, glacing at the sun then back at Santiegra. "How about you ditch this clan and join mine?"
"But....my family..." He looked at the sleeping dragons, who hadn't even bothered to wake up.
"Look, kid, you don't fit in with em. That's the truth. They'd want you to be happy and free, instead of trapped and miserable."
"I guess..."

Lavi lifts a wing to point in the direction where her friends flew off. "My friends are waiting for me there. I'll give you 10 seconds to think about it, and then I'm leaving." Then she flies off, towards where her friends were waiting.

Santiegra sighs, looking back in the direction where Lavi flew off. Should he join her, or should he stay home like a good hatchling? It was a hard decision to make. On one claw, flying off with Lavi would let him experience everything he never got to do here. But his clan neede male dragons to protect the hatchlings and females...

A pair of wings wrapped around him, like a warm cocoon. When he looked up, he saw his mother.
"Mom?"
"You should go with them. She's right. You'll never fit in, and I don't want you to be sad."
"But...what about protecting you? And the hatchlings?"
"We have enough males. Go."
She let go of him and watched as he spread his wings and soared, up into the brilliant sunrise dancing through the trees.

Setting: RiverClan lake camp, nighttime
Characters: LakeShine (pewter Egyptian Mau, fem), SilverCloud (grey-white Egyptian Mau, fem)
Making of a Warrior
It was a calm, peaceful night at the RiverClan camp. Well, mostly calm. Most of the cats were sleeping, except for LakeShine and DappleReed. The two had passed their warrior assessment earlier today and were now keeping vigil at night. Their only job was to stay quiet and alert the clan if attackers were nearby. Soon, it would be daytime. The half-moon in the sky was slowly fading as the sun rose, bright and brilliant.

As soon as it was dawn DappleReed lept up and ran back into the camp, probably to take a nap. However, LakeShine was still sitting at the entrance. WillowBreeze and FrostPaw, the medicine cats weren't back yet and she was getting worried. Of course she was worried WillowBreeze was her older brother, from another litter.

The sun rose higher and higher, and apparently LakeShine had lost track of time since it was noon now. Many cats had passed through the entrance, but still no medicine cats. She sighed, and got up, heading back inside camp. Her mother, SilverCloud, padded up to her.

"LakeShine, are you ok? I don't think I've seen you this worried before!"
She muttered something, burying her face in her paws
"I can't hear you, LakeShine."
"I'm fine, SilverCloud. I'm just worried about WillowBreeze and FrostPaw..."
"WillowBreeze and FrostPaw? You mean FrostLight. They got back a while ago."
"Wait what." She sat up immediately, scanning the camp.
"Yes. They entered camp a little after DappleReed crashed into my nest. You were exhausted, you probably missed them"
"Oh..."
"It's a good thing that you care for your clanmates, LakeShine. Don't sound so sad about it."
"Right, right... wait FrostP- I mean FrostLight- got her medicine cat name?"
"Yes."
"Wow. Good for her!"

~timeskip, 7 moons later~
"SilverKit, you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as SilverPaw. LakeShine. You have shown incredible loyalty to your clan and your clanmates. I hope you will pass on your traits to SilverPaw."
LakeShine had never felt so excited ever since she passed her warrior ceremony. Her first apprentice! Her life was at it's best.

Inspiration: Guardians of Ga'Hoole
Characters: Lino (Australian Masked Owl, Tyto novaehollandiae, male)

Where am I?
He was flying, soaring in the cool breeze of the early morning. For a few seconds, he was just calmly gliding in the air. The sea was slowly turning brighter and brighter like sapphires or diamonds. That was his cue to leave. Slowly, he turned around, towards the direction of his home.

But then disaster struck.

At first, it was just your regular strong headwind. But it quickly got stronger and stronger, and Lino was unable to continue flying straight, no matter how much he tried. Eventually, his wings were too tired to carry on, and he was pushed away by the wind, blacking out.

When he came to, the first thing he saw was the bright full moon, which was strange. The night before he was blown away was only a new moon. But that was before the saw the wolves with brilliant green eyes. He screeched, both in shock and surprise (the same thing probably lol).

The wolves backed off, the adults growling and the pups hiding. A wolf, larger than the others, stepped forwards to Lino, silent. Yet something about her unnerved him, and it wasn't just the bright green eyes or the difference in size to wolves back home.

"Who...who are you?" Silence. It was like the wolves didn't understand him.
Finally, the one standing in front of him spoke. "I am Namara McNamara, leader of this clan." (not very original, I know. just suffering from a writer's block.)
"uhm....what?"
"Strange owl, do you not know of us? We are the dire wolves of the beyond."

Lino stood up, ruffling his feathers. "Actually, I have no idea where I am, miss."
"You are in the beyond, our home."

They mystery library
She was just minding her own business, like any other person out there, when she walked past a strange door. If you were a person who didn't notice the small things, you wouldn't care. But she was not. She had walked down the street millions, maybe billions of times. And she had never seen that door.

Sure, the building was the same, but the doors (and this is what she thought) represented what the building's purpose was. So she walked up the stone steps, to the glazed wooden door, and knocked. As if by magic it opened, and she stepped inside.

That was the first mistake.

The door slammed shut behind her and locked itself. There were no windows, so the door was definitely the only entrance and exit. She was feeling around in the dark, before remembering that she had a phone, and that her phone had a flashlight app.

The second mistake.

As soon as she had turned her phone on, it died. It took her a moment to remember, she hadn't charged the phone yesterday. She cursed, then groped around in the dark to look for a light switch or something. When she found one, she flicked it on.

After being in the dark so long, it took her a moment to adjust to the sudden brightness. Once her eyes were used to it she opened them, looking around.

It was a grand library, seemingly endless. The space seemed too big to even fit in that tiny building, and shelves stacked with books from all around the world stood there, tall and proud. Everything seemed clean, but it was deserted. She didn't like that feeling.

"Excuse me-"
She yelped, then turned around. Ok, so maybe she wasn't alone.
"Ah, I'm sorry if I scared you. My name is _____."
"_____? Thats a strange name."
"Yes well, I didn't choose it."

_____ had the appearance of a 16 year old. Their hair was black, with bright green eyes. They notice her staring, and she looks away, embarrassed.
"Sorry about that."
"It's fine, it's fine. Nothing to worry about."

Both of them were silent for a while, before she spoke up again.
"So...what is this place?"
"A library. My dad owned it, but then he died. It's all mine now."
"Wow..."

Both of them stand there for a bit, in awkward silence.
"Well, its getting late, I should head home."
"Alright then. Come visit whenever."

She headed out the door, and it slammed shut behind her. She was again, in the busy streets of <enter street name>. The library was her secret, and she would tell no one about it.

have a poem. its a WW1 found poem that i made. fun, right? (i cant find the original doc, since it was a piece of paper my teacher gave me.)

Chaos Everywhere (Found Poem)
Never-ending howls
Piercing screams
Rending the air from everywhere
West Flanders is one steaming pot
Death and devastation brewing.
A crop of new battles
New wars
Growing to maturity.

At home you forget the events
Our senses have suffered
These awful three years
Seek to escape but it is no use
This has lasted for days
Again that continuous roar consumes all noises
The earth exploding
Our soldiers cannot do anything

Suddenly
A terrible explosion near you
Splinters drop
Our works have been hit!
But thank heaven
No wounded.

Another explosion, the other side
Nine dugouts collapsed
We make out our comrades struggling
Another deadly beast strike
Almost at our feet
We rush on, shout to our friends
And set to digging them out.

Characters: Dr. Kamikaz Terino, Sable

Lights, Shadows, noise
Lights flashed, and panicked voices filled the halls and rooms of the lab. Something was wrong, definetly. The doctor ran down several corridors, stopping in front of several and opening the doors, then shutting them again when black tendrils lashed out. Her companion, Sable, squeaked worryingly. This was the second time this had happened. And it seemed like the creature had surrounded all the exits. There would be no escape.

Somehow, Kamikaz managed to stumble back into her room, grabbing a bag and taking the necessities. Food, water, a blanket, some clothes... somehow she managed to fit them all into the bag, but that left no space for the rest of her creatures. She sighed, frustrated, slinging the backpack across her back before taking up a spare side-bag. Luckily she always kept one just incase emergencies like this happened. Quickly, but gently, she picked up the 6 eggs in the incubator. Seems like they would have to wait a little more until they could hatch.throwing in a piece of cloth to help protect the eggs, she then picked up the juveniles, reassuring them and putting them into the sidebag.

Sable barked, anxious. Kamikaz shushed her, kneeling down to the larger creatures (mainly canines), giving them a pat on the head before unlocking the 'pet' hatch she installed on the wall. Happily, they rushed out, hopefully to freedom. Only sable stayed with her now, as well as the other creatures inside her bag. She could hear people banging at the door on the otherside for a quick few seconds, before they screamed. Their screams were cut short, however, probably by the black creature invading the lab.

How had this happened? All she was doing was enjoying her tea in the cafeteria, logging in new information about the creatures she owned.

Carefully climbing up the bookshelf to the window near the top of the room, Sable scrabbling up behind her (clever boy), she forced the small window open, falling out of it. Luckily her body had shielded the side-bag, and the eggs and baby creatures were unharmed. Sable almost made it out barking happily, but then the black creature burst down the door, grabbing Sable by the feet. He yipped frantically, then was dragged back in.

Kamikaz bit back a sob, tears welling up in her eyes. Not only was her home now destroyed, her life-long friend was gone. Quickly she stood up, stumbling a bit, backing away slowly, careful to make no noise. The creature couldn't see, but it could hear her. Once she was out of earshot, she turned around, making a dash to the nearest lab that wasn't destroyed. Unfortunately, that was a few days walk away. A soft whine, a furry head butting her hand.

She looked down, to see one of the creatures she had let out. Kamikaz smiled, a bit shaky, reaching down to pet the animal.
"Good... good girl...."
She sniffled, almost breaking down. But she couldn't, the forest was full of dangers. Well, dangers that wasn't the black creature. If she saw it again, it would be too soon. The best she could do was hope that it would never come back.

The dog-like animal whined, butting her hand again. Right. She had to find somewhere safe to sleep for the night, and the little ones looked like they were starting to get disoriented. The forest had that effect on juvenile.
"W-we should move, shouldn't we...c'mon, we need to find somewhere safe for the night..."

The pair started walking, towards the direction of the other lab. There was nothing else they could do now, except pray that the building would still be intact when they reached their destination.

Characters: Dr. Kamikaz Terino, Sable's ghost, Glacier

An Old Friend, Ghosts
How long had she been out here now? Days? Hours? Weeks? It felt like she was walking in circles. Every time Kamikaz heard a rustling noise she'd stop, looking around warily. Even if the black shadow wasn't the one making the noise, there were still other dangers out there. She had heard stories of scientists going mad, seeing ghosts of people and friends that they knew were dead.

She looked up, expecting to see the sun, only to stare at grey clouds. Even the sky was messing with her now. Some of the older pups, as well as Glacier were jumping around and having fun. Kamikaz smiled. They were the only creatures that she had for company, except for the much younger juveniles that were sleeping in her sidebag, safe. Stumbling forwards she tripped and fell into a small hole. Glacier barked worriedly, trying (and failing) to help the scientist climb out of the hole.

Looking around, the hole didn't seem that bad. If she covered it up partially with leaves, then it could be mistaken as part of the ground. Not that she wanted a random animal to step on her in her sleep... Standing up, Kamikaz started unpacking. Well, not that there was much to unpack. She, unfortunetly, didn't think to bring any food or clothes or anything useful, just the creatures.

Sighing, she laid down. Glacier and the pups jumped down the hole aswell, seeing no visible danger.
"Well, goodnight, I guess."
And then everything turned black.

When she woke up, she was greeted by bright blinding lights. Was she staring at the sun? Or maybe she was still dreaming. A familiar bark made her turn her head.
"Sable?"
Another bark. She scrambled to stand up, climbing out of the pit to chase the noise. Right in front of her was Sable. Or at least, something that looked like Sable.

Sable, or Sable's ghost actually, would spin in a circle, then run off a little further away, barking. Not wanting to lose him again, Kamikaz ran after him. They continued doing this, until he stopped infront of a bright blue and pink glade. What was this? Kamikaz wandered in warily, admiring the strange pinks and blues of the leaves, trunks, and grass.

And then she woke up, for real this time.
