[Hopefire]

These tend to be more spoken word style but any constructive criticism is very welcome. Some are inspired by past events

He loved her.
You could see it in the way he looked at her
The way he Drenched her in the paint of his gaze till nothing was left
The way their gazes met like butterflies in summer
Like the Way he used to Look at me when I still mattered.
when I still mattered.

Like how the Girl with the rose behind her ear matters to me
But I didn't matter to him when the Rose mattered to me
I Changed how he Mattered and Then Found someone who mattered
Someone I could matter to.

I didn't matter to him and that hurt.
He mattered to me when she mattered to him
and Yet I didn't Care if it was as only Family
Perhaps I moved on to slow and he shouldn't have mattered
or perhaps it was because he became Family
while I became Ex.

The darkness comes
and all is still
all is quite

In the distance the call begins
as the moon rises
Louder and softer
Drifting and lonely

But in this there is music to be heard
the song of the wolves and the wild
the song of nature and longing
to the moon and their pack

and as the song comes to the end
and silence returns
I sigh in contentment
and return to sleep
where the song continues
to weave through my dreams

I remember when I was little
I was always told by Mama
Never Give your Name

Id tilt my head and nod
with a quick okay
and scamper off about my day

But now I know Why
You never give your name
Because once you do
It isn't yours anymore

I go Dancing Every night
With my friend
whose ears are pointed
until the break of day

I go Dancing Every Night
Even when I'm weary
He calls my name
and off we go
into the star and moon light

I go Dancing Every Night
Deep within the forest
The wolves growl
and Owls call
but I am Safe with Him

I go Dancing Every Night
With His family dear
In a circle Red and white
Until the morning clear

I go Dancing Every Night
With my friend
whose ears are pointed
until the break of day

But he isn't my friend
and I don't want to go
But after you give your Name
The Fey Have It
So I go Dancing with Them

Each night with sighs
May you meet me by moons embrace
To breath and feel
To make ourselves whole
Here at the tides edge
Under the glow of the moon
We can breath anew
Here we can be ourselves
The light of the moon calms and soothes
Drawing us in with bated breath
Until sad darkness forces us apart
And to reality we both must return
Until we can once again meet
By moons embrace
With sighs and whispers

They float and move in the breeze
Dark shadows held aloft
By wind and Will
With Harsh songs calling
Ever calling to the lost
and the broken
These shadows lift my soul
With the way they call to me
Signalling life and death
In a single body
Diving and swirling in air
As though through the waters
So come away with me
To the edge of the wild
Where the Crows Call
And wolves may answer
