Re: Got any ink?
I currently have Nine.
My number one favorite is a tattoo I have on my left chest, a memorial of my heart cat who sadly passed away almost a year ago on May 3rd. So I have her with me everywhere I go.
The painful tattoo would have been on my "love handle" aka area above my hip on back. It doesn't feel pleasant with stretch marks in that area. Painful 2 and half hour of my life. lol

Re: Got any ink?
I've got 22!
My favorite has to be the gallifreyan, which translates to 1952, which is my moms birthday, with her star sign Taurus worked into it, as a memorial to her after she passed. She loved Doctor Who (she named me Sarah Jane xD). My brother got the same one. My other favorite is the Green Lantern symbol on my finger, because the only tattoo my mom ever got was a matching Blue Lantern one on hers :3
Least favorite is definitely the Chinese calligraphy down my spine (it was the early 00s, it was cool then shush lol) not because its bad or anything, I just thought of something I wish I'd gotten instead
Most painful? A tie between the one on the back of my hand (the same one Mick Mars of Motley Crue has on his hand -tiny brag, but he totally started following me on twitter after I @ed a picture of it to him 8D), and a dragon that goes from just under my navel to the top of my chest, I've never got it touched up because of the sheer pain of it the first time around x_x
The next one I've got planned is a thing from Blade Runner ^^

Re: Got any ink?
I have one tattoo on my inner left wrist and at first, I never noticed it. Never noticed when he began the first layer of color but by the third layer, I was ready to slap him with a beer bottle lmao x'D But in all honesty, I'd 100% get my friend to tattoo me again! He made it all worth while and the eye candy wasn't a bad touch either lmao.

Re: Got any ink?
ohoho a tattoo thread? count me innnn
CURRENTLY HAVE: Right now, I have 6 tattoos, one done by myself and the other five done professionally.
FAVORITE(S): It's so hard to pick! Each of them have a very special meaning. I suppose my top three would be-
- the lemur on my left upper arm. it covers up some gruesome self-harm scars, and the lemur's hand is in the position of the American sign language sign for "I love you", as a way to apologize to myself for hurting my body in the past.
- Anabelle from the movie All Dogs Go to Heaven on my right upper thigh. this one also covers up some nasty self-harm scars, and I had it done as a reminder to stay sober and stay alive, which is a long and potentially triggering story that if you're interested in hearing, feel free to PM me about it!
- the ant with a tiny crown on my right upper arm. it's a symbol for my favorite song of all time, Empire Ants by the Gorillaz. The song is about how a person can prevent feeling like just a cog in the machine by escaping reality through music, and how it helps us achieve our goals and dreams.
LEAST FAVORITE: I don't really have a least favorite tat. I really do love them all. I do wish that I'd get around to finishing the tattoo I did myself, though. It's a stick-n-poke of a crudely-drawn possum on my left forearm that I did to remind myself that I'm in control of my emotions, and not to let my anxiety make me "play dead".
MOST PAINFUL: My most painful tat was definitely the bearded vulture that's on my right waist/ribcage. It's huge, in full-color, and extremely detailed. It took two sessions, a total of 10-11 hours, and was very cathartic due to me going through a really rough break-up at the time. I probably didn't even feel the full extent of the pain because of that. Not to brag or anything, but I only cried about four times, maybe five... or six...
FUTURE TATS: Here's a handful of tats that I'm saving up for currently! I won't include them all, as to make sure this post isn't the length of a novel, but these are my priorities in the realm of ink-
- a Japanese style frog. My fiance and I want complementary tattoos, rather than matching ones. We plan on honeymooning in Japan and each getting our own frog tattoo there. I want my frog on my right upper arm.
- a magpie in flight. This is going to be a nod to the most common bird that lives where I currently live, Idaho. To me, they resemble my new life and the effort I'm putting into making my future a good one. In addition to that, the magpie (to those who believe in spirit animals) serves as a reminder to not let possessions and materialistic things dominate life. I want my magpie to be on the back of my left calf.
- a unicorn in a style that somewhat resembles The Last Unicorn. Unicorns have been a powerful totem for me these past few months and have been very present in my mind. I'm not quite clear on what its meaning could be, but because I've been spending the past few months exploring my past and healing from my trauma, I think it's going to be one of my most meaningful and special tattoos.
If anyone actually bothered to read all of that, let me know what you think about my ideas for my future tats, and share some about yours as well! I wanna get to know more like-minded people with a passion for ink

Re: Got any ink?
I have just one on my bicep and I have mixed feelings about it. it was a tattoo that I had been mulling over for three or four years by the time I finally got it done, but on the day-of, I changed the placement on a whim. it was hella a mistake. I also screwed up and made it too dark and small, so I have ink bleeding to look forward to. I love the tattoo content and meaning though! it's an anatomically accurate Eleodes grandicollis from where I grew up. I'm tempted to get another one just like it in the spot I originally intended in the style I originally intended and just... have two of them lol. and then maybe cover the first??? or do something else with it. I want more tattoos but I'm scared of screwing them up like I did the first one hopefully in the future when I get to know myself better I'll add more to the collection.

Re: Got any ink?
Currently Have: 2!
My first was done kind of off to the side of my collarbone and it's my artist signature that I sign on any artwork I've made since like.. Oh man... Middle school?? I chose this placement because it didn't really hurt, actually felt really therapeutic to me, and because it is easily hidden with shirts and such.
I had thought of this tattoo and placement for years before I got it done. I wanted to make sure I wanted it since it is now a part of my body!
My second one was done last year and is my FAVORITE!!! It's a cowplant from The Sims series, which I've played since my teens! She is also my largest tatt, going from slightly on top of my shoulder to about 2 1/2 inches above where my elbow bends. It was taxing on me honestly, still felt therapeutic, but I was getting tattooed from 1pm to 9pm that day with an hour break around 5:30pm and it was my first colored tattoo. I hadn't ate much and almost passed out, but my artist had my back and got me candy and a soda!! We marathoned Bob's Burgers while I was getting the tattoo.
The day after I got my cowplant, I instantly regretted it and freaked out, thought I ruined my body or something. I had buyer's remorse because I only thought about it for a year before getting it xD BUT!! It was my anxiety getting to me and now I LOVE my cowplant and love to show her off. I looked at myself in the mirror after my initial freak out and felt more myself than I ever have felt.
Future Tats: I'm wanting to continue a theme of botanical and video game characters on my arm (it's my left arm btw!) since I work with plants and I love video games. It's both halves of my passions coming together!
Things I want on my arm: Stardew Valley (maybe the Juminos?), Pokemon, Maybe Harvest Moon? (played it growing up!), Sonic the Hedgehog?, and probably more I am forgetting xD Nothing is set in stone, or skin, yet!

Re: Got any ink?
I have 36!
Current favourites: I recently got a stag on my forearm that I'm just in love with, on my right thigh I have a little comic strip of a rat drinking a soda on the toilet (this sounds bizarre but I promise it's very good), and on my belly I have a kind of scratcher style red heart with three roads going to it, and under it it says "ALL ROADS LEAD TO LOVE XXX". Honorable mentions are the rosary on my sternum (not catholic anymore just love the imagery), the dagger on my upper arm with a banner wrapping around it that says "I will cry if you yell at me", the chain of teeth below my right elbow, the clothesline on my shoulder blade, and the rabbit above my knee (that I did myself!). I also have a cover up that's kind of like sparks on a black and grey background, and while it's maybe not my favourite design on my body it still feels very special to me because I got it to cover up a huge lesbian tattoo that I got when I was 18, and since transitioning it was causing me crazy dysphoria so that cover up feels like a weight lifted off of me every time I look at it.
I feel good about mmmmost of my tattoos, I do have a couple of stick and pokes from a time where I cared a lot less about what was on my body, y'know that old "I'll have so many one day that it doesn't matter if I have a few ugly ones just get some ink in me" classic impulsive teenager mentality, but hey that's life sometimes! I also think I'm much better at differentiating between art I just like and art I actually like on my body so there's some older ones that I'm not necessarily in love with anymore, but I've learned to be content with the thought that they just represent a different era of me.
I don't really have any ideas for upcoming tatts as I mostly just get flash, I follow a lot of artists in my city and when it's in the budget to get a new one I'll go through and find something I like, but I tend to go for things that are a little earthy or a little edgy. I got two last month so it'll probably be a while before I get another but I'm very excited, an artist I really like (fireon.marz on instagram) is guesting in my city this summer so my next one will most likely be from them!

Re: Got any ink?
Dont exactly have very much in the tattoo department! I have a little wannabe cross on my hand in the crook of my thumb area. But in all honesty it looks more like a cute bent sword. I plan on either having it turned into a mini dragon, or a better looking sword.
Future planned ones are a tattoo of my main oc Vialence, or Coru, and sans from undertale. My fiance is going to get a matching one but of a character of his named Rufe and Papyrus, since they are our respective favorite characters from undertale!
I also want to get a set of either chili or regular bird wings tattooed on my back. Not super big, but, I've always loved wings, and that's a tattoo I've had planned out for years now. Finally will get to do it though once I am situated in my new home! Cnat wait to get those cute tattoos.

Re: Got any ink?
I've got 8 tattoos currently, 1 on my left forearm, 1 on my left upper arm, 2 on my right forearm, one behind my ear, one on my left thigh, one on my left calf and one on my right calf!
My favourite is probably the one on my right calf its an icecream cone but the scoops are the Gengar evolution line with ghastly on top with a cherry on his little noggin. Close second is i have a Snubble coming out of a Tamogatchi.
I have plans for my next one but need to find a local artist that i trust enough, most of the tattoo artists in my area aren't great sadly.

Re: Got any ink?
currently have: 0, and i doubt i can get any; i have highly sensitive/allergic skin so getting a permanent tattoo will most likely not be a possibility in my lifetime. i dont mind, and do not feel that i am missing out
(theoretically speaking if i wasn't such an allergic person) the decision to get a permanent tattoo to me would not be one i could make lightly... it should have significant symbolism and meaning to commemorate something in my life, at the time i got it- if i ever regretted it, i would know it was something i never thought lightly about to begin with and can't regret on the basis of being a shallow decision. otherwise i just haven't thought about what specific type/design of tattoo i would have.
temporary tattoos that can be gentle on the skin sound fun to do as an alternative. i would be open to have temporary art that i casually enjoy, without much meaning or thought behind it if it just lasts for a few days (or weeks). i really do love seeing flash art, and would like to draw fake flash sheets for fun
