What person do you like to write in?

I like third person best, but I can write in first person. Second person is what I have trouble with.

Just write like the reader is the main character. Like a Choose Your Own Adventure book.

I love stories being in first person.

As someone who who has written a lot of stories I would say by me it depends on the story itself.

Some things are better if written from the point of view of the character to whom everything is happeing, or a second person's pow, even the later is harder as you need to be careful not to slip over into another view if it is a longer work.

Then there are stories where you realize that writing it in the third person is the best solution.

I think it really depends on the roleplay and or story. If I'm roleplaying and the partners ask for third person, it's so very easy to do that. If they ask for first person, often viewed as OP, then I can accommodate for it, but I tend to find that it's a bit harder to do, depending on the roleplay situation, etc.

I use to only write in first person but after I switched to third person, I have never gone back lol

I like first person best, but when writing romance, I generally do 3rd or else I'm having my characters think way too much about everything, and then there's 2 perspectives on one thing and it's all too much

I prefer third person because it allows for more flexibility when writing, plus first person is just too.... personal when writing fanfiction.

Depends on what I'm writing, for character backstories I prefer third person, but for lore stories (which, for me, are smaller stories that focus on specific parts of one or more characters' backstory) I prefer first person. I don't know why it changes depending on what kind of story I'm writing, it just sorta... does.

i mostly write in 3rd person - but when it comes to smut, angst, mental breakdown scenes etc. im using 1st person. I dunno why, it jus feels better lol
