november 3 2024 update: with the introduction of the Riparian Forest and therefore previously retired event creatures becoming accessible, i am now reducing the price of retired eventborn creatures (obtained from the stream).
for currently releasing, parentless and unbred riparian creatures that are IN-SEASON cost the following:
- obtained from the stream: 1k per creature
- obtained from the Mysterious Forest quest: 3k per creature
for currently out-of-season parentless and unbred riparian creatures:
- obtained from the stream: 2.5k per creature
- obtained from the Mysterious Forest quest: 7.5k per creature

it is a chilling, eerie night. you slowly approach what seems to be a haunted house. though the exterior seems to be in shambles, the lights are on inside, and shadows of numerous lurking creatures within cast themselves onto the walls.
a throng of people crowd the entrance, chattering excitedly, and surround a magi standing atop the porch. the magi is wearing a jester's costume, their face hidden behind a tragicomic mask. a wikken cat and a scaregrow gryphon, the magi's companions, sit patiently beside them.
"come one, come all!" the magi cries. they wave their hands in a theatrical fashion and bow. "walk within this haunted house's halls, for in this magical maze you shall surely find fantastic beasts most fitting for your walk of life. should there be a creature you would like to purchase - take it with you, and find me atop the attic...if you dare!"
the magi raises a hand, snaps a finger, and vanishes in a puff of smoke. the clamor from the crowd escalates into an uproar. in their frenzy, every person stampedes inside, leaving you behind to choke on their cloud of dust.
when the dust settles, it reveals the wikken cat and the scarecrow gryphon standing before you. the cat beckons to you to enter the house with a flick of it's tail, and the gryphon rather gruffly.
