GSA
Re: GSA
Welcome Growlingcupcake! I went through the exact same process, from bicurious, to bisexual, to pansexual, but then I figured out I'm omnisexual. Haha, it can be so very confusing sometimes though, since people don't usually know what it is, so its just easier to say bisexual.
And alright Beli, I'll put it under a spoiler, and I am sorry to hear that that happened to you, but believe me when I tell you that I was once in your same position, almost exactly the same. I had a friend for two years, and she threw me away after ruining my life, spreading lies, getting me thrown into therapy, and, the icing on the big cake of crap, she spread rumors SO horrible, my mom nearly left our family to move back to Argentina. Then, one day she called me a loser and told be to get lost. She was my only friend for those 2 years. I also ended up in multiple abusive relationships, and a friendship when I was younger in which I was molested daily. My point is: bad stuff happens.
However, life gets better, mine did.
I don't tell you this to upset you, and the reason I don't put this under a spoiler is because I am just trying to say that you're going to find awesome friends who won't betray you, and you will find someone to love. It took me 16 years to get my life together and actually make healthy connections with people, but I did it. And I'm also not the outgoing sort of person that makes friends easily. To this day, I still have no idea how I got my life together, however, good things happen to good people eventually, and sometimes, good things DO just fall into place.
Don't give up hope! I truly believe your life will get much better - the trick is to just be kind and sometimes reach out to people like you who need someone to care. :3

Re: GSA
From an adult in his 30s to the younger generation.
Survive your teens. Get through the hormone crap that maturing does to you. Figure out who you are and be that person, not what you think other people think you are, or what you think they want you to be. Learn to be secure in yourself. It's like playing a musical instrument, you actually do have to practice and work at it. But the hard work pays off when you start meeting mature people out in the work force. People start to see you, and appreciate you for who you really are.
Don't give up. If you give up, the jerks win. Don't give them that satisfaction.

Alas... I am gone. Hawke's moving too far away, and I'm not going to get my own internet any time soon. Maybe I'll be back some day.
It's been fun!
HAWKE SAYS I'M A DORK!
Now she's calling me other things, but those aren't appropriate.

Re: GSA
*making face* I don't think I've ever heard myself referred to as the "younger generation" in any context that was remotely positive before this... anyway, being very nearly out of my teens and never really getting the chance to not be myself (moving a lot = isolation = silver lining, who knew?), Dom's right. No word about work forces here, but post-high-school in general is better.

I'm 16, and haha, surviving your teens is easier said than done. But Dom, your advice is great, and I get what you mean. There are jerks, but once you get past all that, they won't mean anything in the future.
Astra, if you make that lineage, I'd be happy to showcase it and link to any family page you'll have for it on the first post! =D Gay puvia sounds adorable, but wait! :o You can't breed two creatures of the same gender, so would they really be gay...? Bahaha.
Info about my date on Sunday:
I have some questions though, to those who may have experience in this - there was one factor I didn't take into account.
Though I am not ashamed of who I am, I am frightened of what could happen to us. She is very affectionate in public (I don't mean like making out - I mean holding hands, mild cuddling, very G stuff, stuff any normal straight couple would do.) And I love that, I'm the cuddly type too. I'm a goddam teddy bear. I am made and filled with fluffy substances.
However, it recently occurred to me that someone could try and hurt us, and that worries me. This doesn't seem to occur to her though. I don't know how to bring it up without it being taken the wrong way. I don't want her to think I'm ashamed to be with her - I'm not. I'm just scared of people, but I also feel like we have a right to act as a straight couple (Who knows the comfort limits of PDA) can act, though I know a double standard exists.
So... advice? Some say to just act like a straight couple would act but stay in safe places, others say to just keep it completely secret, I don't know though. My human rights activist side is saying I have every right to be affectionate, but my scared little turtle side is saying to be very discreet so as to not be the victim of a hate crime.
On another note, starting Drivers Ed on Monday. Wish me luck. And lets hope I don't crash one of the school's cars.

Spoiler
Also, Sunday was brilliant. Tons of fun and I had a great time, although we weren't alone. Some of our mutual friends accompanied us. We walked around downtown, played in this 3-story fountain thing (A bit like children, I'll admit. A bit immature really, but it was awesome nonetheless.) Then we went to a poetry cafe and continued to roam downtown until about 10. Then we saw Inception the next day, haha, I guess we couldn't get enough of each other. By the way, that is a great movie. Totally trippy though. Like the Truman show except stranger. The scenes with the spinning hotel halls and stuff were great, all the anti-gravity and stuff. Just... freaking awesome.
Now we have another date tomorrow! x3 We're seeing The Last Airbender (Though I've seen it already. Its horrible. AGH. SHAMALAN. WHY DO YOU DO THIS?) and spending time at the mall.

Re: GSA
Well, technically haven't experienced it, but.... Honestly, my answer would be that it depends on where you live. If you're in an area that's generally not that bad (West coast, college towns, that kind of place) then sticking to safe areas would be a rule for the sake of crime in general as much as hate crimes. If you're in the middle of the Bible belt (or anywhere that thinks about the same way), then... well, I would act however I wanted due to the little inner activist having control of a pretty good amount of my brain (and stubbornness/defiance prettymuch having the rest of it), but since it would get someone else involved, you should at least talk to her.
Just say it as you're worried about her getting hurt and she'll probably understand. May or may not listen, but I doubt she'd get mad at you for it unless you try to keep bringing the topic back up until she agrees or something. If you just talk about it once though you should be fine.
*sends luck for Drivers Ed*
