I've been chatting with my sister about what the word Vegeta means in Japenese. I think it means hairspray, but my sister thinks it means person who likes blowing people up.

I would definitely go with what your sister says.
But if I remember correctly if you put his brother, Tarble, and his name together, they say "vegetables".

Re: Dragon Ball Z/Kai Fanclub
It actually doesn't mean anything! Vegeta's name (and all other pure Saiyan names) are jokes on vegetable names. Kakarot=carrot, Vegeta=vegetable (since he's the prince of all Saiyans he must be leader over all vegetables!), Raditz=radish, Nappa=pun on Chinese word for cabbage, Turles(a Saiyan from one of the movies)= a pun on the word for lettuce, Bardock(another Saiyan you'll meet in a movie)= a burdock vegetable, etc.
(I shall now refer to Vegeta as Prince of all Vegetables !)

Oh geez. I almost fell out of my chair. But then why is the word Vegeta in the Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles theme song? Maybe they're calling Kurogane (I call him Kuroku) a vegetable head....PhantomOG wrote:It actually doesn't mean anything! Vegeta's name (and all other pure Saiyan names) are jokes on vegetable names. But my sister and I were calling Vegeta "Vegetable Head" for a while. But I can't believe Kakarot actually is carrot. But the name Kakarot still is really cool.

I have absolutely no idea why the word vegeta is in there. Maybe they are calling him a vegetable head! But hey have you seen Dragonball Z The Abridged Series? SOOOOOO funny!umbreon241 wrote: Oh geez. I almost fell out of my chair. But then why is the word Vegeta in the Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles theme song? I need to see that. Lets take a vote to see who thinks Vegeta means "Vegetable Head". Raise your hand if you think it means Vegetable Head.PhantomOG wrote:I have absolutely no idea why the word vegeta is in there. Maybe they are calling him a vegetable head! Does this mean Saiyans, the most ruthless warriors there are, are vegetarian?PhantomOG wrote:It actually doesn't mean anything! No I don't think so. I only say this because we see Vegeta and Nappa eating those aliens. Oh and all the Saiyans who live on earth eat anything!

Re: Dragon Ball Z/Kai Fanclub
I know you're discussing them being vegetables, which would mean that if they were vegetarians they'd be cannibals so they obviously eat meat, but I believe the series restarts tonight.
