also, once you set up a lineage, that starter - "Progenitor" - pair will no longer be able to breed with anyone but one another - they are now mated for life.
(also, ShaiNeko, the initial offspring of a Progenitor pair are the first gen - their offspring are the second.
Yes, I know that, what with having bred lineage creatures myself. What I was saying was get a creature based on what you wish, as some people like the generations of creatures to match. First gen to first gen, second gen to second, and so on. But some people like to get stream born or shop born mates for their lineage creatures, no matter what gen the lineage creature is. In short: Just get another creature and you can breed.
Why do people like to make things overly complicated....
