(This is my first Magistream story... tried to be original Tell me if you want more.)
Hello. Who are you? I see. Well, if you're a human, I hope you're not a hunter. Let me introduce myself... but that's a little hard to introduce when you are a winged deer with not a name to speak of. Why, you ask? Why do I not have a name? Because my parents.. never did give me a name. They didn't have a second to regret it, though... they are both long gone, along with my two brothers. You want to know my story? It is a long one... filled with heartbreak. Yet I had the best friends you could have. I will tell you.

Chapter 1
My first sensation was the blinding cold. After my parents licked off the birthing sack, I seemed very weak. I lay in a heap with my brothers while my parents headed out to find food for us. Later, we all heard a horrifying shriek coming from terribly close to the den. Then a low growl sounded. I summoned all of my energy and raised my head. I saw a huge, shaggy brown head with sharp teeth dripping with blood. Looking at those teeth, knowing they could tear me apart in one bite, fear shot through me. I scrambled to my feet unsteadily and called to my brothers, "Hide! There's... a.... a dangerous animal here!"
- at this point, I'm interrupting to say that it was a bear, I just didn't know at that time. Continuing on....
My brothers just looked at me with blank eyes, and in that one terrible moment, I knew they were going to die.
