Appearance: Standing with a height of 6'0", Masque has a lean figure and fairly pale skin, though not terribly so. His hair, a dark dusty brown, is about medium length and is usually a bit on the shaggy side. However, it isn't quite long enough to hide his obviously inhuman ears, which somewhat resembled that of an elf's, with a fine point that suggests that the rest of his features are just as sharp. However, not many have actually seen his face, as it is hidden by a Japanese kitsune mask that is primarily white in color, though the black slits that are the eyes are surrounded with red markings, along with several other red markings that give it more color. His eyes are not visible through the mask, so its often in question how he actually sees - though, rest assured, he does not lack sight. Cliche as it is, he does have a tail, though it is the same dusty brown as his hair. At the tip it cuts off like a fox's would, though instead of being white is more of a dark red that looks as though it was stained by paint and never entirely washed out.
Though his facial features are in question, there have been many claims that he has sharp canine teeth and cold, golden eyes. And, as ridiculous as it may sound, it has also been suggested that he has worn his mask for so long that the markings that line his cheeks have 'bled' onto his skin. His nails are also sharper than that of an average person's and can most certainly be used as a weapon.
His attire consists of fairly simple clothing, a
red jacket with a hood that he often wears, along with dark jeans and a simple black belt. He wears a silver necklace with two rings on it - a dark silver men's ring and a woman's ring. He also has another chain that is longer and is usually hidden beneath his clothes that has his dog tags on it.
Personality: Compared to many of the other inhabitants of Twisted, Masque could be considered to be one of the more 'normal' Nightmares. And that really is no surprise given his history. However, in a way his personality does contradict itself. Although he can often be found lingering around others, especially Dreamers, he very,
very rarely says anything, and rather uses gestures to get his point across. He is capable of projecting his thoughts and emotions to other Nightmare and will occasionally do so. However, for the most part he is silent - and it's practically unknown as to why. He is capable of speaking, but he simply chooses not to. His emotions are also difficult to read, considering that his face is invisible, but they can certainly be sensed by certain others. Although he is a gentle character, he is more than capable of fighting. He is especially skilled in hand-to-hand combat, as if he had once been trained in it, so its best not to pick a fight with him.
Observant and curious are two good words to define him, giving him a bit more resemblance to the creature he chooses to portray with his mask. Often times he may be seen simply staring, though it is difficult to tell if he is actually staring at someone or something in particular. Other times he may be off daydreaming, or at least that is what he is assumed to be doing.
Unlike the rest of him, however, it is known how to upset him. He absolutely hates when someone touches his tail, and will often give a disapproving slap to a hand if someone does so. He also despises being confused, and if he ever ends up at a loss he will saunter off to someplace to think things over and try to figure out the situation.
Food: Life
Powers: - Shadow manipulation/animation - Despite being a Nightmare that feeds off Life, Masque is actually capable of creating life - or rather, animating shadows to make it
seem like he's created life. He is capable of giving shadows a physical form and animating them so that they can aid him in some way, though their lifespans aren't very long, perhaps lasting a few hours at best.
After spending so many years in Twisted he has also gained the ability to create tangible items from the shadows too, such as force shield-like structures.
- Telepathy - Like many Nightmares, Masque has developed telepathic abilities. While he is capable of communicating through thoughts, he normally chooses not to, and simply keeps his quiet demeanor.

this one here in the picture. The snout is somewhat longer than the average Japanese fox mask.
