How about, instead of drawing out every single possibility, I add the butterfly pics so that the spriter(s) can decide on how to go about it?
I'm pretty sure they have a better idea of what would look pretty than I do.

The concept of this creature is truly amazing. I like the blue color scheme, but that's just me. xD The Butterfly Wyvern sounds like a lot of fun and everything but I dunno. This site already has wyverns, but a new addition to the family would be good, too. Good luck to you, though! ^^

The wyvern thing is what made me not want to suggest the creature.
Glad to see that I'm not paranoid.
But since the sprite will be different, maybe it won't be associated?
Or we can call it the butterfly...lizard?
