Gorgeous stuff! I especially like the pic for the hatchling, and the way you describe the egg - "embraces" - nice choice of word~

... Totally random, but it'll be cool if, in classic MS tradition, we have a dark-colored version following Moth colors (Moth Drake?) ...

What's the difference in wing shape between a butterfly and a moth?

Hm... perhaps less sharp edges? After all, it seems like a butterfly's wings has more corners & sharp lines & such compared to a moth's...

I think moth wings are flatter and more triangular?
And they do seem to have softer edges...

Ongaku I think the first colour scheme is my favorite from the three and the third wing pattern would be good if you didn't use the original colour scheme butterfly pattern
a moth would be a good idea but there are some dark coloured butterflies that would be a good contrasting colouration
