-/|Hate and Love|\-
Here's one of my older Poems:
-/|Hate and Love|\-
Date: Last year... (Will specify later)
There is a dark thing living in my heart
It has resided there since the very start
"What is this?" you might ask, but I just can't tell
For this horrid, wretched thing has come straight from hell
I guess I must tell you, to know is your fate
So this disgusting, evil thing goes by the name of hate
Hate, the horrid, disgusting thing
It can spread; take to bony wing
Hate festers in your heart
Rotten from the very start
What is your saving dove?
That, my friend, is called Love
"Where is Love?" you want to know
It makes you feel as light as snow
Love makes you soar, high in the sky
It makes you feel like you can fly
Find the love, shiny and new
For it is hidden, deep inside you.

Unnamed Poem #1
-/|Unnamed Poem #1|\-
Date written: Sept. 28th, 2011
This was part of a recent school project. We had to write six poems with our variety of prompts.
This Prompt was to write a poem with a common phrase like "There are other fish in the sea" at the beginning or end.
I looked out the window, thinking in my head
How if I hadn’t ducked in here, I would’ve been dead
I saw the bully chasing, cursing all the way
And I knew that here, was where I was going to stay
I hadn’t meant all day, not even an hour
but now I’m stuck in the library, and my mood has gone sour
The bully had waited on the street, for me to emerge
But I didn’t attempt to sneak, I didn’t have the courage
When every store on the street was quiet and closed
The bully wandered off, where I was, he didn’t know
I did though, and I was sad and teary
Pleasant is not a word to describe this library
Scared and alone, I searched for an exit
But as far as I could tell, none did exist
I pulled on another door, and heard a click like a pen
When one door closes, another will open

Unnamed Poem #2
-/|Unnamed Poem #2|\-
Date Written: Sept. 28th, 2011
This was part of a recent school project. We had to write six poems with our variety of prompts.
This Prompt was to write a poem using "The _____est Month" with a superlative adjective.
November is the fattest month, gorging
on Halloween’s riches, eating
enormous turkeys, baking
elaborate dinners
November is the closest month, traveling
to aunt’s and uncle’s houses, celebrating
a good harvest, sitting
around the fireplace
November is the reddest month, watching
carved pumpkins decay, jumping
in newly raked leaves, having
your nose regain feeling
November is the fastest month, seeing
memories fly by, racing
to the old swing, loving
your family members
