YESSSSSS. I have quite the habit of picturing spiders in the summer when they're around, as well as other bugs.

Once I finally find a good feeder bug that fits my restrictions and can breed well, I plan on getting a colony of emperor scorpions.

Summer 2012 Season's Mascot: The Rainbow Grasshopper!

Winter/Spring 2012 Season's Mascot: The Peacock Spider!

Of moderate internet fame, the peacock spider is most famous for it's males' behavior and bright coloration! It "dances" to attract females, resulting in hilarious displays that have been recorded for all to see:

Favorite Invertebrate: Dragonfly.

Hi all, so what's to be said about my love of bugs? Well probably that it interferes with my job, as a gardener I'm always coming across something in the undergrowth that I cant help but pause to look at. As said above my favourite are Dragonfly's, they have to be the best flying predator out there (with there only weakness the obvious size difficulty).

@ShenziSixaxis - So your into scorpions I have to agree they are cool looking, unfortunately I've never seen one first hand as there aren't any in NZ.

Hullo, new members!

Scorps aren't really my forte, but they're pretty neat.

Dragonflies are awesome, if hard to catch. I've had a few interesting interactions with them, including one landing on my foot and refusing to leave.

Have you tried using natural methods to get rid of pests? Ex. ladybugs, parasitoid wasps?

^-^ Thankies, and no, I don't, though that's only because of my parents x3 they would not appreciate a tarantula in their house, I'm honestly surprised they let me get my degu , I won't push it with anything that isn't a mammal until I get my own place x3

:o Degu! They're adorable! And yeah, I'm rather in the same boat, my parents don't like bugs much either. I have bug pets by proxy though, as a number of friends have cool pets that I'll be helping to take care of. Five mantids, some blue death-feigning beetles, and a number of other things.
