Velociraptor
General: Tan being the main color with red stripes the most common color variation, they blend in exceptionally well with their environment. Generally found in deserts, Velociraptors are rarely seen, let alone captured. Naturally an ambush predator, training these creatures into being gentle is extremely difficult. For that reason Velociraptors are a great fighting companion, only trusting those it grew up with. They have a cold heart towards outsiders but, will grow so attached to their Magi that they will allow the Magi to see their egg and hold it.
Egg: A large claw and a tail have sprouted through this egg.
Hatchling: The claw that has been sticking out for so long suddenly cracks the egg open. Tumbling out from it's shell, comes a baby Velociraptor. You reach out your hand to touch it but quickly retreat it as it snaps it's razor sharp teeth. Down it's back you see two large stripes, both being different colors. You notice how it's arm curls up, not yet grown. Suddenly something catches your eye. Looking down at it's feet you notice a very large claw. Measuring it ,it appears to be at least two inches long. The end curves but not large enough to touch the ground. It's attention flicks to a flying dragonfly and it creeps toward it. It snaps at it but the bug gets away. You catch it in your hand and use it to entice the raptor to climb into your cupped hands...
Adult: The once small raptor has grown into a remarkable animal. Its arms are fully grown and the large claw has now definitely grown. It has a frill on the back of it's head that is almost like feathers. The fully grown beast can sprint as fast as a car going 40 mph. It has a series of complex calls that, if you had trained it correctly, you could understand. You call to it and it obediently walks over to you. Velociraptors are highly intelligent, able to learn just about anything. It can now fend for itself, an invaluable weapon during wars. Magi's are rarely seen riding on a Velociraptor. To earn the privilege to do so would take a fair amount of time, 5 years at the most. They are capable of taking down an elephant when hunting in a pack. Velociraptors are quite friendly towards other creatures, just territorial and very protective and vicious if the creature comes to close to a fresh kill or a nesting site. Rarely the Velociraptors are seen scavenging through the nests of other creatures while they are away, eating the present eggs.
Werewolf
General: Werewolves are quite the mystical creatures. They lurk around in the shadows of shrubby forests, sometimes seen with Direwolves. The legend of a beast is able to walk on fours and on it's legs. It has the arms of a wolf but is able to do some actions that humans do. The fur color of a werewolf can range from a deep brown color to a russet-ginger color. When walking on it's legs only it's arms dangle harmlessly, making it look as little intimidating as possible.
Egg: The egg color resembles the eye of a werewolf, camouflaging it as an adult werewolf.
Hatchling: First you see a snout followed by a head then followed by the rest. It slithers out of the egg gracefully, only breaking open the part it's snout broke through. You let out a gasp. This looks nothing like the horrible creatures in fairytales. The color of it is an amazingly rich brown, and looks so silky. It makes you want to just cuddle it! It lets out a weak howl, it's vocals still developing. You let out a whistle and it turns it's head to look at you. Interested it gets up and pads over to you. You hold out your hand and it sniffs it cautiously. Satisfied it lays down with a sigh and does nothing when you pick it up. It's about the size of an adult Pomeranian even though it just hatched. You stare into it's eyes, just mesmerized. The werewolf searches your pockets while you are still hypnotized by it's staring eyes. Finally it sees nothing and it lets you snap out of the trance. Realizing what happened you acknowledge what kind of animal you now have...
Adult: The once cuddly puppy has grown. A lot. It now reaches up to about 6 feet tall when it stands on it's legs. For some reason the werewolves are relatively skinny, as if they don't eat enough. Yet they do. A master of disguise, it walks up to it's prey letting out a small whimper, as if it can't bear to be a werewolf. Once it sees that it's victim has gone off-guard it strikes a fatal blow. Heard at full moons, their blood-curdling wail can be heard up to 3 miles away. It's sharp ears can pick up almost anything, as it relies on it's hearing more than scent or sight. It still has the trick of hypnotize only this time it's not to sniff through your pockets. It's usually to strike a killing bite. They can normally be seen at nights, just Magi's don't realize they are there. Intelligent creatures, they stick around Magi cities in case it gets hungry. They are trusting creatures, bonded to the first thing they see when they hatch. Agile and swift, a Magi would need to ride on a Roc or a Gryphon to keep up with it in it's natural environment.
Mates: Werewolves can breed with DireWolves and other Werewolves.
Velociraptors can breed with Dragon-like creatures and other Velociraptors.
