Mac, PC, or Linux?

Post by TheShinyOshawott »

The ultimate show down.

What's your favorite, what are you using?

I have to say PC, because I haven't used the others. :t-sweat:

also let's try to not make this thread a flame war :derr:

Eh, I like PC for most things, but Mac is admittedly much better for graphics and design stuff. I also like the Mac's user interface better in theory, but I'm more used to to PC/Windows so it's hard for me to navigate.

I haven't really tried Linux but my dad has it on a computer and it looks annoying :yarly:

No opinion on Linux because I've never used it. I've used both Macs and PCs(our desktop at hope is a PC, while my laptop is a MacBook) and I have to say, as surprising as it is, I kinda prefer my Mac to the PC.
For one thing, the Mac doesn't update every year(and Windows 8, which my mom has on her laptop is horrendous) so, it's always the same and once you learn the interface. I guess 'if it ain't broke don't fix it' really applies to them.
Though I DON'T like Mac prices, really freaking expensive in comparison. And many games/downloads only work for PCs, so Macs end up being SOL.

That said, until I went to college, I used a PC my whole life, so I definitely don't hate them, they have their own charm.

MAC is bets for working, and is very easy to use, you can really just go fck around pressing buttons to see what they do.

PC i dont have one but they are a pain in the A to use, unless ur experienced. one upside: almost INFINITE game options for download.

Mac for working and some play
Pc for play play play and getting pissed off at low loading speed

Personally, I've never used a Linux, or Mac. I have heard stories of what they're used for, but a PC is just for me! My friends have Macs and although they adore them, a lot of them are not able to play games that we normally can play together when on a PC. That's why I choose a PC, as I use computers mainly for gaming ^^

I've used linux a bit over a year now. And I have to say, I will not return to Windows with my everyday tasks. (The only exception can be, if I'll get employed on some day and their programs won't run on linux, I probably need a Windows PC for that purpose... :( :smirk: )

Basically I like it how easy it is to administrate a linux computer vs. Windows, how I can customize almost everything I wish and how it makes my workflow much easier.

I've been on a Mac for the past couple of years, but I was only familiar with PCs for the like decade before that.
It took some time and a bit of force by my schools, but I'm now comfortable on either one.

No idea what Linux is.
