What we have here are your basic sugar cookies, which are nevertheless delicious. The best part is the different icings, to which we add both color and flavor (start out with store-bought vanilla). This year, white = coconut, blue = almond, yellow = lemon, orange = orange, purple = raspberry, pink = strawberry, red = peppermint, and green = mint. We also had a huge assortment of sprinkles, which were generously applied to almost every cookie. The pics below are of the cookies I personally decorated.

Did you use gel icing for the accents on the snowman and bear (face, scarf, hat, etc.)? Never used it before so I wasn't sure. I like the super shiny translucent almost glass-like look of it, especially on the snowman buttons.

Yes indeed, that is gel icing. Cut the tips a bit too big, so it came out more blobby than I would've liked, but hey, they still taste delicious!
