*chuckles* Personally, i still dislike birds...except my friend has a hawk right now (perfectly legal, promise, her father is a guy who teaches you how to go hawking (falconer?)), and that is the coolest, calmest bird I've ever seen. She'll sit on your arm and rub her face all over you, and it's awesome...she's white too, not an albino, just white...pretty cool...I'll see if my friend will take any pictures of her...

Well, Potoos are my favorite funny birds. And tawny frogmouths. I use them for reaction images.
I really want a bird for my next pet...

I've got an old cat and a bouncy dog...I'm, good on pets, though I wouldn't mind having a hawk...but I'm not really on the market at all, so that's cool.
But I know how you feel. She's so nice and pretty...and gentle. Although, watching her kill a wild rabbit was fascinating...she's a runt, basically, so she's not very big for her breed, but she's really strong and beautiful...

One of my neighbors owns a rescued barn owl. His name is Bob and he can't fly all too well. She's going on holiday for two weeks soon and wants me to look after him. I don't know if I have the right experience to look after an owl, though... even though one of the jobs I wanted to do was Falconry, which is what your friends dad does, Silver. I looked real into it. It's got good pay, but you have to learn to drive and work in all types of weathers and assess rodent populations to see if you can hunt there or not, since falconry is used as a means of natural pest control now days.

Eheh, yeah, I couldn't watch that. I have my own sweetheart bunny-bun at the moment. n_n I've said it before and I'll say it again- rabbits make great pets but only if you're anticipating an animal similar to a cat or dog. The wrong people buy them and way too many rabbits fill up animal shelters, or spend their whole lives in hutches, or in terrariums, and are never allowed to run.

We're having leftovers/Mexican style buffet for supper tonight! Woot!
I swear I could live on rice, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and beans or ground meat. That's it. That and seasoning and I'm happy for a loooonnnggg time. ^^

Wow, falconry sounds cool. And owls are adorable.... They're called strigitiforms right? And hawks, eagles, falcons, and the diurnals are falconiformes? :3

Yeah, her dad's gone a lot, but takes time off for special occasions. But he has a couple (maybe five...) hawks/falcons. And he does help the local ASPCA with their rescued raptors. He's like a foster home for them until they get better. But this hawk is all hers, it was a birthday present, and she feeds it mice from the pet store and such, although she does hunt rabbits around their house as well.

Anyway, I'm sure you can take care of the owl. It's not like it's forever, only two weeks, right?
