New Quest: In Need of Ink

There seems to be some commotion happening at the Keep! It would seem that a letter has arrived but there is trouble reading it. Head over to give a hand, and bring your tentacled companions with you.

In other words:
-There is a new quest "Foenara: In Need of Ink" which starts at the Keep.
-No creatures will be taken away from you by this quest.
-The quest is not permanent, but it will be available until the requirements are met. If people contribute enough I'm sure there'll be fancy rewards! The creatures obtained from the quest will be obtainable after the quest has ended, as well.
-There is no badge for participating in the quest.

You only need one, but yes. a hatchling ice octopus. OR a hatchling ice kraken.

You can borrow one from someone, though -that counts, and I know there are folks lending them out.

I wonder if the mod team realizes there are portions of the planet earth who are just today getting to enjoy Christmas (January 7th) and have to do it without the appropriate holiday events, for no other reason then they live in a different part of the world than the mods.

Cause TIME ZONES how do they work and your SOoL if you live in the wrong one or don't follow USA's calendar!

Not to mention that if the Quest Borns will be reasonably obtainable (don't see how given that the quest EXPIRES) how unfair that is to the people who had to go through all the work of breeding and hatching and eyeing the stream and don't even get a badge for their work.

This quest was not planned based on what timezone people are in or what holiday you're currently celebrating; this quest isn't even tied to a holiday. I'm sorry you're getting to celebrate Christmas only just now, but we operate on a US-based holiday calendar - which is no different than any number of other games out there - which is why we celebrate Christmas in late December and not right now. In addition it's worth noting that several of the mods and people who keep this site running in general are in non-US timezones.

There are a bunch of people willing to loan out the creatures you need for the quest for free so you don't have to comb through the stream or breed anything, as well.

And yet another event where you complain that we aren't keeping to your version of how the calendar and time zones should work. You are being unreasonable and insulting to the mods and advisors who create these events. You've made your complaint, and if I see another one belittling this event I will delete it.
