What are eggs and how do I get them? Creatures (eggs) are your virtual pets, which you can find by clicking "The Keep" on the Nav Bar. You can obtain creatures through several ways, most notably the Stream. You can gather live eggs from the Stream, which you get to by clicking the banner image. The next would be through the shops. You can get live eggs by buying them from one of the three shops (provided you have the gold). The third would be from a quest, which can be found in the World (click "World"). Do note that many quests can only be completed once. And the fourth (least used) would be getting them from a gifting event. These eggs are rarer than most.
What is trading? You can view trades by clicking on "X new trades" somewhere under the Nav Bar. There are three things you would often see, being "Initiated" (starting party has not keyed in password), "Waiting for response" (receiving party has not keyed in their password), and "Waiting for confirmation" (starting party has to key in their password before the trade can be confirmed). You can start a trade by hitting "Trade" under the person's avatar in a forum post, or go to their profile (click on their avatar) and trade with them.
Quests? Yes, quests. They can be found in the World, accessible from the button on the navigation bar. Most start in the Keep, one of the shards stuck to the map. Quests often require that you have certain creatures, and depending on the quest, they may or may not be used up.
Your creatures
SB? EB? GB? CB? QB? These stand for: stream/shop born, event born, gift born, crash born and quest born. They are used for different species (depending on where you get them) but they are all parentless creatures.
Freezing? You can freeze creatures with the "freeze" button, to either keep them at a percentage or to reduce your egg count in the case of live eggs. You can trade frozen eggs but not live eggs. You can do this if you are unable to release a creature from the Stream (you cannot release these for six hours after adoption).
Releasing? When you release a creature, it is gone FOREVER. The link still exists (and family creatures still appear on the page) but nobody is able to retrieve it.

Thanks! I have a tab in my keep called 'Storage', but I usually put my extra creatures in there, so I could send out some from there. I think I have about 18 in there so far.

What if we posted in the introductions forum and offered our services there? I know MightyOak did that before, and gave a few free critters, but I'm not sure if she does that anymore. Maybe if we posted there, under someone's introduction, we could give out packages and advice, or direct them here.

We have talked about doing it there, and I believe that we will advertise there. In my tab for newbies I have 10 pet, but I am getting more really soon. So, soon 30+. When I get a larger amount so we can supply enough, we shall advertise there.
