The planet of Xoelia hasn’t always been inhabited by hybrids. The hybrids came to be as purebloods mingled and created their mutant children. It was an act that defied nature, and so the purebloods had to be punished. As hybrids became more common, and purebloods were dwindling, a great war ensued. The purebloods fought valiantly, but they inevitably failed. With all the purebloods now gone, the hybrids now ruled the vast planet of Xoelia.
But this, too, eventually came to bring problems.
The hybrids eventually began to turn on each other, breaking off into factions and fighting one another. The more dominant animal within them determined which faction they joined. Some that were just pure mutts were left on the sidelines; unable to call a faction home as they were too mixed to have a dominant animal within. The wars raged on for years, until the unlikeliest of heroes showed their faces.
The mutts left the sidelines and joined in on the war as peacekeepers. One mutt in particular is the most well known and will continue to be talked about until the end of time; Laanears. He gathered as many as he could and went to the aftermath of the battles and spoke to the warring factions. They took him as a fool at first, some even tried to kill him, but after a year or so they began to listen to him and see the truth in his words. Slowly, the fighting came to an end and a government of sorts was created with Laanears at the head.
It’s a council with representatives for each faction where they can come and list complaints and sort out an issues that the hybrids may have with each other. Things were peaceful and the golden years began.
However...
since the death of Laanears and no other speaker able to step up and have the same charisma as the Great Peacekeeper, tensions among the factions have begun to rise once more. There has been no declaration of war yet, but one wrong move and all of Laanears’ work will be for naught.
faction information
- 》》about the factions;
- Certain factions have certain powers, traits, and even markings. Some hybrids can defect to other factions, but if they have any special powers, then they would remain with the powers they were born with from the faction they were born into.
**Faction markings are not a required part of information, markings can be anything you think would fit your character, their faction and their class the best.**
✿Forest – Hybrids from the forest faction have the ability to grow things and have them flourish quite nicely. They tend to be the best trackers of any of the factions, and some can – quite literally – blend in with their surroundings. Any obscure markings that these hybrids may have will be floral-like in nature.
✿Jungle – Hybrids from the jungle faction are very great at healing. There’s a number of medicinal herbs in the jungle, which these hybrids tend to know all about. They also can have the ability to hide perfectly in the shadows, despite how small the shadow may be. Any obscure markings that these hybrids may have will be vine-like in nature.
✿Desert – Hybrids from the desert faction can have power over fire and sand. They are also very resistant to the heat, but they tend to not do well in the cold. Any obscure markings that these hybrids may have will be tribal in nature. It will appear as if they have painted the markings on themselves, and some of these hybrids have, as they were not born with them.
✿Sky – Hybrids from the sky faction can fly long distances very quickly, and some are able to track things from the sky. Only a select few of these hybrids have the ability to – for a limited time – make clouds and control the weather. Any obscure markings that these hybrids may have can appear as cloud-like and filigree in nature.
✿Mountain – Hybrids from the mountain faction have earth powers, such as the ability to effortlessly pick up boulders and toss them around as if they were lighter than air. Only a select few of the elders have the ability to create mountains. They tend to realize this power as they grow older, and can only truly master it when they are near their end. Any obscure markings that these hybrids may have will be earthy in nature.
✿Arctic – Hybrids from the arctic faction are very resistant to the cold, though they can’t handle the heat very well. They may also have powers over ice and snow. Any obscure markings that these hybrids may have will appear like snowflakes.
✿Water – Hybrids from the water faction can breathe underwater for as long as they need to. Some may have the power to control water and make it do their bidding. Any obscure markings that these hybrids may have can appear as water droplets or be wave-like in nature.
✿Underworld – Hybrids from the underworld faction are undead and generally don’t come to the surface during the day. If they do, they lurk in the shadows, which they can control to an extent. They have the power to give nightmares to other hybrids, and the underworld hybrids tend to be the war starters. Any obscure markings that these hybrids may have will be voodoo-like in nature.
✿Mutt – These hybrids don’t have a particular place in the world. They can go to any faction they desire and will generally be welcomed with open arms. Mutts are the outcasts of the world, and they try their best to find their little niche in the world. Mutts can have traits from any of the factions; it all depends on where they were birthed, the same can also be said for their markings. - Certain factions have certain powers, traits, and even markings. Some hybrids can defect to other factions, but if they have any special powers, then they would remain with the powers they were born with from the faction they were born into.
- 》》about the faction classes;
✿Healer – Any hybrid can be a healer, it just tends to come easier to those of the jungle faction. The other factions may need to train and work hard to become healers, but it’s not impossible for them to be healers as well. Healers use medicinal herbs to help the injured and the dying and they play very important roles within their factions.
✿Warrior – Warriors protect their faction from threats. There’s not been need of warriors for a long time, though most factions are beginning to train their most vicious hybrids to become warriors, just in case there’s a war on the way.
✿Bounty Hunter - Bounty Hunters use their great stealth abilities and strength to go after rogue hybrids that have been cast out of their faction. They go after criminals, kill them, and bring them back for a reward.
✿Council Members – These hybrids serve on the council as representatives for their faction. They help make decisions to try and keep the peace on Xoelia.
✿Assassins – Assassins are specially trained and are generally hired to kill hybrids of importance, mainly the members of the Council. Most of these hybrids are from the forest and underworld faction. They can put up a glamour that can disguise them as any hybrid from another faction for a limited time. Any hybrid can be an assassin, but if they’re not from the forest or underworld, it can be harder for them to learn the skills needed to be an assassin.
》》about the faction ranks;- Some hybrids have built in instincts to make their own little “packs” within the faction. The “packs” don’t fight each other, and really they’re more like an extended family. But some of the hybrids still have the instincts of their pureblood ancestors to form these “packs”.
✿Beta – Second in command who take over when one or both of the Alphas are unable to do their jobs. Usually a couple.
✿Omega – A very important role in the pack, despite how it may look on the outside. The Omega diffuses tension within the pack, especially during mealtime, by being a jester of sorts. Omegas are given the best cuts of the kill for their hard work at keeping the pack together.
✿Hunters – They go out and get food for the “pack” and are lead by the Alpha Female.
✿Den Mothers – They take care of any children that the Alphas have.
