In the pitch black of night
Lie many strange frights,
But all is not what it might seem.
If you see a white head
With eyes made of dark red
A protector will watch from the stream.
A breeze whisks you by
You may let out a cry
But then stop. In amazement you gaze.
It does look quite frightsome
But it’s here to fight some
Evil beasts, its red eyes ablaze.
The memory will stay
Every night, dawn and day.
You know you will never forget.
But it turned into smoke,
To go help another bloke.
To see it again, you have yet.
I took some creative liberties with this. I know tenabre foxes disappear, not turn into smoke. And I know they don't have eyes. But let me know how I did!

Re: Tenabre Fox Poem
It's beautiful! Firstly, I love the AABCCB rhyming scheme. And secondly, I like the narrative and the vivid descriptions. I actually would say that there were some inaccuracies regarding Tenabre foxes but then I read the note. I thought it's fair enough for you to take some creative liberty. It's only right.
Well written!
