Missing You

Post by ChrissyRen »

I'm sitting in my dorm listening to Every Breath You Take by Aaron Krause and the harmonies in this song made me miss home. This will be a short little Something about a very special friend of mine who recently passed away...

It's not the same here without you. I'm more alone surrounded by a room full of people than i've ever felt just sitting with you. We don't have to talk, or entertain one another. Our silences are warm. Comforting. We rarely ever just spoke, but we were never quiet for long. I miss our harmonies. Your dulcet baritone to my alto, our voices interweaving to whatever came to mind. Making melodies to study for classes. Our songs to make it rain, and our songs to make it stop. Your tunes to keep me entertained during football games, and your lullabies to help me sleep. I even miss your screechy soprano. I've met so many people, but none are like you. So I listen to songs with melodies. They make me hurt, but also remember all that we shared together. We'll never get a chance to sing again, but I know that you're no longer suffering. I miss you. And i'll always love you.
