Item description:
Two heart-shaped necklaces, one silver, one gold. They fit neatly together, but can be separated. The chains can be adjusted to fit around the neck or tail of just about any creature. They seem indestructible.
Item use:
Permanently (or a divorce necklace set could be made) binds two creatures together. They can breed once every two days rather than every three, but they can only breed with each other. They cannot be traded unless they are traded together.
Or, alternately:
Permanently binds two creatures together. They can only breed with each other. If one is traded away, they can still be bred with each other, and the user who has the female will get the egg.
