Magic Eraser
Erases a creature from a family lineage document.
The selected creature is no longer visible on the family page, and no longer carries the family name. Its parents are still listed on the creature's page. If the creature had any children, they will remain in the family (unless this would totally break how family generations are calculated, in which case all of the creature's children should also be erased from the family).
Usable by lineage owner (whoever currently has the rights to edit crest and description). The item should be consumed on use and should also be a bit expensive, or time consuming, to obtain, so no one goes around erasing critters willy-nilly.
Useful for released creatures, frozen eggs, and rule breakers (especially if its owner is no longer active).

A modern eraser was the first thing to pop into my head, but then I got to thinking... Don't Magi use quills and write on parchment? Maybe a bottle of magic white out would work better
