*Name might possibly change. It's a little silly. :I
"And here is the first area you'll be studying." The dark skinned, blue robed Magi pushes her purple Serendins' tail off of the map and sets her finger over a red dot on the edge of the Jungle of Raza. "This jungle is home to countless creatures, and one of the land-shifting anomalies. You can only come into it in one direction, the land within the area changes every few hours, and you escape after walking far enough and finding a door that seems to go nowhere."
She lifts her finger from the map, and begins to pace with her hands behind her back. "You've all proven yourselves strong and smart enough to handle this without me...so, you'll all be going together as a team. Find yourselves some new eggs and herbs, and see what you can find about these anomalies."
Rules:
Spoiler
1. Everyone starts with 1-2 creatures; one must be able to walk on land and/or fly, and they can't be anything very rare.
2. This'll play sort of like a game of D&D. I'll control various monsters, NPCs, and tell you what's going on. You can do what you want, but it can't override something I've said. There's no guarantee NPCs will know everything or even tell the truth, though.
3. In the spirit of D&D, the success of some actions (fighting, casting spells, finding eggs, ect.) will be determined through dice rolls and stats. I do the rolls on dies of 20. Your skill points are added to the roll to see if you 'win' the action. In fights, the difference between the rolls is damage done to the loser.
Example:
RPer1: Twoos steadies his hands and fires the bolt of lightning at the beast growling at him in the darkness.
DSP: Twoos rolls 18, gains 4 points from his stats, and 1 point from his staff.
The beast rolls a 7, gains 1 point for being hidden in the darkness, and 5 points from his stats. Difference of 10 in Twoos' favour.
Twoos hears the beast falls to the ground. It drags itself into the light to attack him, but the smell of burnt fur and its slow movement makes it apparent that it's injured. The black winged cat weakly raises a paw...but falls down, unable to move.
4. People and creatures die if their health hits 0. That means your charaters can too.
5. I'll try to keep this pretty balanced. Tell me if you see anything that needs fixing.
6. You have 12 points to give to your charaters, and three starting skills. If you want to use a skill not listed, just ask and we'll see if it'll work.
7. Try not to get mad. First time trying to do this, so it'll probably need some balancing and such. And some of it really comes down to luck.
