*I wouldn't really consider this a "fanfic" but it is a short based off of a song that is not my own (In the title) sooooo better safe than sorry*
Vincent
I walked through the deserted streets and looked down at the cobblestone streets as I went. I refused to look up, for the stars have caused me enough pain. So had they for everyone else. That’s why no one is out at this hour, I thought to myself. It is because of the stars that no one liked me, that people thought I was insane. And to be honest, I adored the stars.
I painted them for what they were. The little balls of light blues, yellows, and occasionally white that swirled around in a dark sea of the blackest black and midnight blue. The town below would admire their beauty and their majesty. That is how I viewed them, with awe. Though they still betrayed me, turned on me. For one could not simply catch they’re beauty with paint and a brush, nor with anything else. Neither words nor works could do them justice. People could not understand that.
Yet, I still continue to paint and try to capture the beauty of the colors of this world; so that someday people might come to respect them and see the stars for what they are.
A little bit about what's going on here: during my freshman year in high school I started to write little narratives to go along with some of my favorite songs. These songs are from anywhere and everywhere. Some are oldies, some are from movies, some are new. It was/is any song that makes me feel the urge to write.
Please tell me what you think in poll below! Score the piece 1-5 (1 you hated it and wish it burns in hell, 5 it was great so post more!) I also suggest listening to the song before/after you read it so you can get a general idea of where the text is coming from. If the title is not the song name I'll post it with the title.

Re: Vincent
It's nice! My fav part is how you told it from his perspective, within the moment /vocabulary fail
Spoiler
Although as an art student I wonder whether you intended for him to be on a street in his imagination, or if it actually existed within the asylum...
crimbo!
