Journey through the Tetzcotal

It is so humid, seems I am breathing water! But the guide urges me onward and upward, for just on the other side of the ridge is our destination. I stopped, gazing toward the towering peak shrouded in the mists, and wondered if the lichen upon the trees would also grow over me as I stood. Again, a prod from the guide, so onward I go.
Spoiler
A sort of illegal hike, along the ridge of the Nuuanu Pali on Oahu. Not a hike for the weak, and definitly not a hike for wet days! This shot is a few hundred feet from the lookout area, heading north along the ridge. The lichen and fungus on the aged and dying Ohia tree serves as a reminder of how the forest eats itself. Then the rain came and we had to move quickly or get lost as the clouds grew thicker with every passing moment.
