Ripple spun around, "Don't you dare tell me what to do Pogonip!" She snarled, "I'm tired of you bossing me around. It's not safe here!" She glared over at her friend.
Pogonip looked down at the snow beneath her paws. "For once Ripple listen to me!" She barked. "You have to stay with the pack. We need you, you can't go out on your own like this!"
"I can and I will Pogonip, if the pack is too weak to follow me they can stay here."
"You only care about your family when it's convenient for you! You're the worst!" Pogonip slammed her paw down sending up a flurry of snow. "Fine go! Why should I care about what happens to you!"
Ripple shrank away from Pogonip. It was rare for the wolf to raise her voice. "Well I don't care about you either!" Ripple shot back. "Stay behind get buried in snow!" She turned away from Pogonip. "You and the rest of the pack can freeze for all I care!"
"Have fun!" Pogonip growled. "And don't come crying back to me when living by yourself is too tough!"
"Oh believe me I won't be coming back!" Ripple barked over her shoulder before bounding away.
__________
By the time Pogonip got back to the pack snow had already started to fall. "Everyone into the den." She barked nudging her packmates into their cave home. She peeked outside at the white blanket of snow that was hr home, she felt terrible about what she had said to her friend. But what was done was done. She couldn't help Ripple now.
