Egg Description: This egg has cracked in two places, revealing a delicately finned tail covered in rainbow scales at the bottom and a sharp golden horn at the top.
Hatchling Description: As soon as its egg breaks open, this little hatchling races around in the water, its hooves pumping as if frolicking on land. The newborn creature is surprisingly graceful for one so young. After awhile, your rainbow aquacorn calms down and approaches you. With a playful whiny, your creature slaps its tail against the water, splashing and soaking you. Its eyes gleam with amusement, and suddenly, it's off to play again.
Adult Description: Once they reach adulthood, rainbow aquacorns fully grow into their powers. They're able to share their ability to breathe underwater with their rider, which makes them invaluable for water magi who wish to study creatures of the deep. They also possess minor healing powers and can heal flesh wounds and fractures with their horns. Adults form large herds which can have tens or even hundreds of members. These herds are usually comprised of a single stallion, his brood mares, and their young. Rainbow aquacorns are extremely protective parents, but they may be convinced to give an egg to a magi whom they truly trust.
General Description: Rainbow aquacorns come in two color variations: light caramel and dark chocolate. Their equestrian half may be covered with smooth, simple brown skin, but their fish half sports multi-colored scales and ends in lacy, delicate fins. Each and every scale on their tails is a different color, chosen from a rainbow pallet: from viridian to pewter, cerulean to vermilion, lavender to celadon, fuchsia to saffron, and even cinnabar and indigo. A rainbow aquacorn uses both its powerful tail and its razor-sharp golden horn to defend itself and its young from predators. These creatures are as intelligent as they are beautiful and will often tease their magi for fun.
Notes: We have unicorns, and we have aericorns, so why not aquacorns? Also, I included every city/town name from the first generation of Pokemon in the description. Deal with it. None of the images are mine and can be found by googling "hippo campus mythological creature."
