Post by salt »

very dumb name. subject to change asap.
complete !!

♫ general
It is a common belief that faescuri are the companions of the fair folk, with huge, gossamer wings and a petite stature. They are graceful creatures, and never seem to lose their balance even while walking along the thinnest twig. Faescuri despise the cold, and during winter it is not uncommon to see them curled up in the folds of their magi's robes, until they are within a warmer atmosphere, one such as the Keep. Unlike their bell squirrel parent, faescuri are unable to create fire, but they do possess the power of flight, thanks to avrael wings. Although their wings appear to be delicate, they can glide around effortlessly for hours on end. During the Winter Solstice, one might be treated to the sight of cluster of faescura drifting around the chandeliers, the glow from the candlelight reflecting back to faescuri wings to create a dazzling sight.

♫ egg
This robin-blue egg has a soft, fluffy tail curled around it.

♫ hatchling
Raising faescuri hatchlings is not particularly hard work, as they spend most of their days sleeping or eating. With timid and docile natures, they make a lovely companion for younger magi. They do not develop the power of flight until their wings have matured, so they satisfy their curiosity by scampering around the Keep grounds instead. It is often tiring to chase after a young faescura, especially since they can fit into most of the cracks and crevices, and therefore many an exasperated magi has let their hatchling run rampant, as they always seem to return back to their owner when tired.

♫ adult
As they grow older, faescuri become more energetic, and will often be found gliding around the Keep on a bright sunny day, in search of nuts and berries. They are friendly and sociable creatures, able to form close friendships with other small animals, and are often found living together in large groups. a tendency to vanish into thin air, only to reappear moments later in a place you would least expect it. Their fur takes after bell squirrels, with males being a bright green and females a chestnut brown, though their mating rituals consist of showing off their treasure trove of food. If the female is satisfied, they mate for life.
