Despite their unusual appearance, Lepiendra are friendly creatures and will only bite in the most extreme of circumstances. Their venom causes both numbness and hallucinations, a dangerous combo. Those bitten will often stumble around, confused, as their senses betray them. Lepiendra adults feed on fruits, nectar, and occasionally smaller insects, but have been known to target larger prey such as mice and small fish.

This little hatchling is ravenous and will completely devour almost anything it can find, though it loves any sort of soft, sweet fruit. When not eating, it will curl up in a ball and fall asleep wherever it is - on a table, the floor, or even in your lap. Lepiendra hatchlings don't need to worry about predators when sleeping, as their armored exoskeleton protects them.
