Jeweled Quetzalcoatl

Egg:
This egg is adorned with crystals and has a serpentine tail sticking out of it.

Hatchling:
Young Crystalcoatls are devoid of any gems save the few that adorn the tip of their tail, growing more and more crystals as they make their way into adulthood. Cystalcoatl hatchlings carry the personality traits of a young Quetzalcoatl for the first few weeks but soon switch to those of a Crystalcoatl.

Adult:
Jeweled Quetzalcoatls that reach adulthood are, much like their Quetzacoatl parent, quite small and unable to be used as a mount and their desire to hoard things like the Crystalcoat parent begins to die down. Adult Jeweled Quetzalcoatls are valuable allies to any Magi as their size allows them to get into small places and the crystals they shed every now and then contain a strong amount of magic.

General:
A Jeweled Quetzalcoatl is a sight to behold, the crystals that adorn their body acting like stained glass when hit by the sun and reflecting that color upon the nearest surface as they slither through the air. It is not only the crystals that make these serpentine creatures beautiful, but also the vibrant scales and feathers that cover their their bodies as well. Several Jeweled Quetzalcoatl are normally seen around or within the Keep coiled around branches and rocks that are open to the sun, basking in its heat during the warmer months but in the colder ones they can be seen migrating with their kin or coiling close any source of heat; be it a fire, candle, or their Magi.
