Welcome to the Re-Coloring and Sprite Splicing Guild

In this guild we talk about and share ideas about doing re-coloring of the Magistream Creature Sprites. We encourage you to come join us!

Rules:
#1: Do NOT under ANY circumstances use your re-colors to make a profit. They are NOT your work and you will NOT pass it off as yours!!!
#2: When you do a re-color, Make sure in the post that when you post it you give credit to the artist(s) that did the original sprite(s).
#3: Do NOT under ANY circumstances use any sprites done by BettyxMe as she does not wish to have her works re-colored. If you break this rule, I will personally report you to her and Morgaln. This is an EXTREMELY serious rule and may be ban worthy! You have been warned! As of Oct. 20, 2010, you can use sprites done by BettyxMe.
#4: If you are unsure of which artist did which sprite, please check 8-community-discussion/36890-artist-cre ... ml?start=0 first before sending private messages to the artists.
#5: Be respectful of all members! We do have staff members monitoring this guild as well as joined in with us! We will not tolerant disrespect!
#6: Any other Magistream rules I have not listed.
#7: Have fun and be creative, this is supposed to be fun! Remember; Rijolt, Umbreonage, and Glasswalker enjoy seeing what members do with their work! Just no compromising poses, okay

contest #1 has begun, it will go on for 2 weeks (July 18th @ 11:59PM EST deadline), because some of us can't get on it right away.

Contest #2 (January 19th, 2012-February 3rd, 2012)

It's a Masqurade, creatures are dressing up as on another! This is the "revised" contest #2 as the original was too hard for most players. Thanks for the suggestion Cass, it was a good one and some GREAT stuff should arise out of this

Rules: Pick two creatures, be sure to give credit where credit is due, dress up one creature as the other! it's simple, it can be clothing added on to make the look, OR the sprite could be one creature with the colors/markings/traits of another creature.

Winner will be decided by popular vote via Pole Good Luck all

User Input:This is dubbed the Crystalfin, It was extremely fun to work with, though it may not be perfect it is still very elegant and has gotten more compliments than any other re-color I have done so far! This was my first Splicing of multiple sprites ever and for a first timer I feel very confident in my ability if I continue to work at it. Rijolt has said she will fix the coloration of the tail and a few other points. There is one other variation of the Crystalfin, which is the lurker Crystalfin. It is black with blue gemstones/eyes. I look forward to creating more of these wonderous creatures. It was originally spliced with Sarduligan in mind, as he wanted a re-color and told me to surprise him, and much to MY surprise, I feel it love with this splice. Went I sent this to Rijolt, this is what she said about it:

Theres something wrong with the recolor, and the shading on the koi tail should be fixed- but the concept itself is beautiful, I wouldn't mind drawing/ owning that. It works well.
