Shukura's Dragonry (New eggs found for adoption!)

Post by Lazuli »

Welcome to my Dragonry! What is a dragonry, you ask? It is a hatchery for dragons! All kinds, of all shapes, sizes, and powers. We have everything from the common Western Ridgeback to the powerful and rare Eastern Frost, and new species are being discovered every day! Here at the Dragonry, we offer these amazing beasts for adoption. Let's move on, shall we?

News:
Spoiler
2/10/2011: A new nest has been found in the Etain Desert! We have taken the entire clutch of four. I wonder what they could hatch into? These will be kept by the Dragonry for research, as they are not like anything we have heard of before. If we find or breed more, they will be for sale if safe. (Some dragons are too aggressive to be sold, so we have to make sure these are safe to be kept as pets)
2/9/2011: The Dragonry is looking to hire! Please message Shukura for more information, including a full list of jobs. (We especially need someone to message people their codes, and someone to help me think up more dragon/accessory ideas)
2/8/2011: The Dragonry has grown its first pair of wild dragons! Dragon breeding is now open for the Western Ridgeback species, currently purebred only. EDIT: Amazing! We have been sold a rare and beautiful female South American Dwarf Quetzalcoatl from its native land. It has been added to the breeding stock. However, it is a bit sick from the travel and unable to breed yet. It is now able to be bred! Check the breeding pen to see this beauty.
2/8/2011: The Dragonry has been built! We are now hunting for eggs to stock up.
Hints and spoilers/previews:
Spoiler
2/9/2011: Our researchers are working on a new piece of technology that will be much more suitable for the dragon eggs and hatchlings than their current nesting material. And our design teams have been thinking up some new accessories for your dragons! Everyone here at the Dragonry is working hard to make you and your dragons happier and healthier. (Egg incubators and fledgling brooders coming soon!)
2/8/2011: Some of our hunters have reported something reflective being seen in the forests around mid-day. It is unknown what this thing could be, as when the hunters would reach it they could no longer see it. Also, the Dragonry has grown its first pair of wild dragons!
2/8/2011: Rumors of an unusually shaped brown splotched egg have been drifting around... I wonder what it could mean. EDIT: The egg has been found! This egg can now be adopted.
Research facility:
Spoiler
Species research: Currently observing the new species of dragon egg we found in the Etainian Desert. EDIT: It hatched! EDIT: And they have now grown.

Genetic research: Currently awaiting the arrival of the Western Ridgeback and South American Dwarf Quetzalcoatl offspring. The first of its kind.
Design research: Collecting data on the public's ideas, and developing a new dragon collar accessory.
Technology department: Researching better nesting material and hatching technique for eggs.

Adoption

The breeding pen:
This area is where we keep our breeding stock. Here, you can request for two dragons of your choice to be bred. What happens when you breed two different species? Try it and see!
Western Ridgeback- 1,000g

South American Dwarf Quetzalcoatl- 1,500g

Form for breeding:
Prices- The prices listed next to each species are the price per used dragon, and you must add them together for the total price. Example: The mother costs 1,000g to be bred, and the father costs 2,500g. The total price would be 3,500g.

Notice: Very rarely the dragons are picky and will refuse to breed with one another. In this case, you will get half of your gold back and may place another order. (Yes, you can place it for the same two dragons.)

Sometimes our dragons breed without our notice, and we will find an egg or two in the corner of their stalls. Those eggs will be adopted out to prevent any chance of inbreeding if we keep them for stock.

Wild dragons:
Here, you may adopt any wild dragon eggs we have found. Wild dragons, for some reason, seem to be larger and more attractive than bred ones, but are also much rarer and more difficult to tame.

Brown egg with spikes- 2,000g
Purple iridescent egg- 4,000g
Speckled egg- 5,000g
Light brown egg with spikes- 2,000g

Quick tip: Saturday through Monday are known as the breeding season around here, and during those days more eggs will be added to the adoptions. Tuesday through Friday will have few to no eggs. But who knows? Maybe we could get lucky and find a whole nest of Eastern Frosts on a Friday! It just depends on what's going on out there.

Hatchery:
Sometimes eggs will sit around so long without being adopted that they hatch with us into adorable little fledglings. In the hatchery, you can adopt those fledglings and not have to worry about hatching them yourself.
Image-This tiny hatchling is absolutely adorable! It has small spikes running down its back and tail, and large wings that may some day support it in flight. Currently, the wings are still developing and the body is not proportioned correctly for flight. This little one spends most of its time asleep, like most hatchlings. Male, unnamed, wild. 4,000g.

The field:
The field is where abandoned dragons are placed. These dragons have been abandoned by their previous owners and are now looking for new ones. Would you like to save one of these poor creatures? They come with any accessories, training, and upgrades their previous owner bought for them.
